About the role:
We are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our Finance and Strategy team. In this role, you will be a critical part of ensuring the success of our Finance and Strategy team by building and maintaining robust and accurate Finance Systems and Data resources. You will collaborate with the Finance and Strategy, Accounting, and Analytics teams to create and continuously improve our core financial planning models.
In this role you will also become the go-to super-user and resource for our EPM tool, as well as the broader data sources that we work with. You will also be able to lead your own cross-functional projects ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility. We are looking for individuals who are problem-solvers and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Build and maintain models in the finance system to support accurate and reliable reporting.
- Design intuitive workflows for finance tooling, removing friction from the planning and reporting process.
- Create systematic guardrails to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Act as the primary super-user and point of contact for all finance systems and data-related queries.
- Provide training and support to Finance Systems Users.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to aggregate, organize, and maintain data resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create new data resources and improve existing ones.
- Learn and apply SQL and dbt to support data transformations and model building.
You are a good fit if you have:
- 2+ years of experience as a data, finance, or business analyst.
- Prior experience with financial planning systems or similar tools like Pigment, Anaplan, etc.
- Strong interest in learning SQL and dbt to enhance your technical skill set.
- Effective communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and an eagerness to solve problems independently.
You’ll have an edge if you:
- Have experience using Pigment.
- Are proficient in SQL and/or Python.
- Have experience with business intelligence tools.
- Have built systems with multiple inputs and endpoints.
- Have experience at a SaaS company.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process.
In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.
- The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$99,000 -- $120,600 USD
- The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed is:
$111,000 -- $134,000 USD
