We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Construction Contracts Manager to support and oversee the development and execution of Hyperscale Data Center projects for one of the world’s leading technology clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that requires deep expertise in commercial contracting and procurement strategy, coupled with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must possess strong capabilities in contract lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and vendor relationship management, as well as a solid foundation in mission-critical infrastructure delivery.

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing contract and procurement operations on a portfolio of projects, supporting project-based contract professionals, and acting as a key commercial interface with client and vendor leadership. A strong background in Hyperscale Data Center or other mission-critical environments is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project contract strategy, procurement planning, and execution across a portfolio of Hyperscale Data Center projects.
  • Implement contracting frameworks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and risk mitigation across all projects.
  • Perform market analysis to guide procurement strategy and inform selection of qualified vendors and contractors.
  • Support early-stage development with the creation of robust project scopes of work, contracting strategies, and delivery models.
  • Prepare and review project-specific Contract Execution Plans in alignment with client requirements and internal governance procedures.
  • Manage the RFP process, including tendering, evaluation, negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related issues, disputes, and claims.
  • Enforce standardized change management procedures and ensure contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain procurement dashboards and contract logs to track key performance metrics, contract values, payment schedules, and change orders.
  • Support project managers in contract administration, including pay application review, change order approval, and vendor performance tracking.
  • Assist in commercial and legal risk reviews, including correspondence, amendments, and compliance evaluations.
  • Conduct contractor and supplier audits to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Support resolution of extension-of-time claims and commercial disputes.
  • Stay current on evolving regulations, contracting standards, and market trends relevant to large-scale construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the mentoring and training of contracts staff to build high-performing commercial teams.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required by project or company leadership.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in construction contracts and procurement management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related technical fields
  • Prior experience in hyperscale data center development and construction
  • Strong command of legal terms and commercial principles in large construction contracts
  • Demonstrated experience in contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and dispute resolution
  • Ability to implement procurement frameworks and contracting standards across project environments
  • Experience in managing vendor and contractor performance on complex capital programs
  • Client-facing experience with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Contract Management, Construction Law, or related fields
  • Certification in Procurement or Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, MCIPS, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with FIDIC, AIA, or other industry standard contract forms
  • Experience in multi-regional or global contracting operations
