We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Regional Contracts Lead to support and oversee the development and execution of major Hyperscale Data Center projects across multiple locations for one of the world’s leading technology clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing leadership role that requires deep expertise in commercial contracting and procurement strategy, coupled with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must possess strong capabilities in contract lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and vendor relationship leadership, as well as a solid foundation in mission-critical infrastructure delivery.
As a Regional Contracts Lead, you will be responsible for managing contract and procurement operations across a portfolio of projects, mentoring project-based contract professionals, and acting as the senior commercial interface with client and vendor leadership. A strong background in Hyperscale Data Center or other mission-critical environments is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee regional contract strategy, procurement planning, and execution across a portfolio of hyperscale data center projects.
- Develop and implement regional contracting frameworks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, risk mitigation, and alignment across all projects.
- Direct market analysis efforts to guide procurement strategies and inform the selection of qualified vendors and contractors.
- Support early-stage project development by providing oversight for the creation of robust scopes of work, contracting strategies, and delivery models.
- Manage and approve the preparation and review of project-specific Contract Execution Plans to ensure alignment with client requirements and internal governance.
- Oversee and guide the full Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including tendering, evaluation, negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for contract-related issues, disputes, and claims across the region, ensuring timely resolution.
- Establish, enforce, and monitor standardized change management procedures to maintain contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and maintain regional procurement dashboards and contract logs to track key performance indicators, contract values, payment schedules, and change orders.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to project managers in contract administration, including the review of pay applications, approval of change orders, and performance tracking of vendors.
- Lead commercial and legal risk reviews, including contract correspondence, amendments, and compliance evaluations.
- Direct and conduct periodic audits of contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Oversee and support the resolution of extension-of-time claims and commercial disputes, ensuring alignment with project and legal requirements.
- Stay informed and advise on evolving regulations, contracting standards, and market trends relevant to large-scale construction projects.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, vendors, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders to support commercial alignment and project success.
- Mentor, train, and manage contracts staff within the region, building high-performing commercial teams and supporting career development.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required by executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- 18+ years of experience in construction contracts and procurement management, with at least 8 years in a senior or regional leadership capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Prior experience in Hyperscale Data Center development and construction.
- Strong command of legal terms and commercial principles in large construction contracts.
- Demonstrated leadership in contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and dispute resolution.
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to implement procurement frameworks and contracting standards across multi-project environments.
- Experience in managing vendor and contractor performance on complex capital programs.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust with high-level stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Contract Management, Construction Law, or related fields.
- Certification in Procurement or Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, MCIPS, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with FIDIC, AIA, or other industry standard contract forms.
- Experience in global or multi-regional contracting operations.
