
Partnerships Manager
Deep Blue is seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team of Sharks. This role is for a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about women’s sports and has experience as well as interest in driving outcomes-oriented results through building and brokering commercial partnerships. This candidate loves big picture thinking and knows how to get it done. They are strategic, a seller and scrappy, all-in-one.
You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of brand partnerships across women’s sports leagues, teams, athletes, properties, and media properties.
You are helping our clients navigate a rapidly evolving marketplace where the "traditional playbook" doesn’t apply.
This role will be working out of our NY office two (2) days a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Responsibilities
- Client & Property Relations: Serve as a key day-to-day point of contact between brand clients and rights holders — leagues, teams, media partners and talent agencies. You have strong situational awareness, know when to escalate, and can represent Deep Blue with professionalism and confidence across all stakeholder levels. (e.g., iHeart Women’s Sports Audio Network).
- Partnership Execution & Activation: Support the day-to-day management of brand partnerships across women's sports leagues, teams, athletes, and media properties — ensuring all contractual assets (signage, digital content, hospitality, social, experiential) are delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest standard.
- Athlete Management: Coordinate logistics for athlete partnerships, including content shoots, appearances, and social media deliverables, ensuring authentic storytelling at every touchpoint.
- Materials Development: Draft high-impact partnership recaps, ROI reports, activation briefs, and client-facing presentations that tell a clear story about brand impact — using women's sports-specific metrics, not outdated benchmarks borrowed from men's sports.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve on women's sports trends, property launches, media rights developments, and athlete movement. Bring proactive insights to strategy and account teams before clients ask the question.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a sports marketing or advertising agency setting.
- Domain Expertise: A deep, demonstrable knowledge of the women’s sports marketplace, including key stakeholders, leagues, athletes, and the current media rights landscape.
- Client Service: Proven ability to support brand clients in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. Strong situational awareness.
- Bias Toward Action: Independent thinker and problem server who can work autonomously to get to outcomes. Proactive and strategic in connecting dots and opportunities.
- Communication: Exceptional writing and presentation skills—you can turn a spreadsheet of data or researched insights into a compelling story about brand impact.
- Organization: Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and be resourceful, flexible and quick to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience in Google Suite and Slack

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location.
