
Junior Data Infrastructure Engineer

DeepIntent is looking for a Junior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our European Data Infrastructure team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and operation of the core data infrastructure that powers our data ecosystem. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining hands-on experience with modern data platforms while helping ensure our data is reliable, accessible, and scalable.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure solutions for storing, processing, and analyzing data
- Support existing data pipelines and infrastructure, helping monitor performance and troubleshoot issues
- Contribute to improving the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data workflows under guidance from senior team members
- Help implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
- Learn and apply best practices for data infrastructure design, security, and operations
- Participate in evaluating tools and technologies used in the data platform
- Collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams to support data-driven initiatives
- Manage assigned tasks and deliverables with mentorship and clear priorities
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related role (internships and academic projects count)Basic understanding of data processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar tools
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Exposure to scripting, automation, or workflow tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) is a plus
- Introductory experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Basic knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, and system operations
- Interest in DevOps concepts and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with code versioning systems and understanding of git-ops
- Willingness to learn about monitoring, deployment, and operational support of data systems
- Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks and willing to ask questions when needed
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to go beyond assigned tasks to understand systems end-to-end
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions, raise concerns, and propose improvements
- An enthusiastic learner with a proactive attitude toward adopting new tools and technologies
