United States - Remote

Role Description:

As a Product Manager working on our Platform offering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our platform by owning the product vision, prioritizing features, and ensuring alignment with both customer needs and company objectives. The UDS Army Platform as a Service is a DevSecOps platform that enables the continuous cybersecurity assessment and delivery of software products into Army mission environments. You will drive product strategy across the full platform capability model, from vendor onboarding and security evaluation through authorization workflows, environment provisioning, and Day 2 operations, balancing compliance obligations, developer experience, and government customer needs. This role requires a unique blend of collaboration, technical expertise and passion for software. You will be responsible for managing a team of talented engineers, guiding them towards delivering high-impact solutions that influence national security while operating in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Delivery, and Product, is crucial to ensure alignment with our company roadmap and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision end-to-end and be accountable for delivering outcomes across multiple customer segments, including software vendors, government evaluators, and platform operators
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, including career development and performance management
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing customer, business, and technical priorities with limited resources
  • Synthesize external customer requests, government requirements, and compliance obligations into a coherent product roadmap
  • Build and maintain alignment with the Growth team on roadmap, value proposition, product pricing, customer segmentation, and customer needs
  • Adapt product strategy and roadmap to accomplish company objectives and respond to shifts in the DoD authorization landscape
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to evaluate tradeoffs between roadmap priorities and engineering effort
  • Participate in customer-facing engagements, communicating product value and gathering feedback
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and drive prioritization, value delivery, and roadmap alignment across the team
  • Stay current with industry trends in DevSecOps, regulated IT, open source, and the DoD software authorization ecosystem

The listed responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is able to adapt and take on new responsibilities as they arise.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years managing software, platform engineering, or SRE teams
  • Passion for the intersection of business, open-source software, and national security
  • High-level understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, platform tooling, and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity authorization processes such as ATO, FedRAMP, or continuous monitoring requirements
  • Experience with DevSecOps tooling, software supply chain security concepts, or compliance automation
  • Knowledge of and experience with monetization models for open source software
  • Experience establishing a clear product roadmap and value proposition for prospective customers
  • Proficiency with backlog and project management tools such as Linear, Jira, GitHub Projects, or GitLab
  • Experience working in agile software development environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and thrive in a remote work environment
  • Hands-on technical experience with platform or software engineering a plus

Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of our platform offering for the national security sector. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to drive positive change and thrive in a challenging, collaborative environment, we invite you to apply and join our team.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
