About the Role

Our Program Management team serves as the connective tissue across Product and Engineering, and key business functions including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, HR, Legal, and Professional Services. We drive execution of strategic initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, accelerate delivery, and enable scalable business growth.

We are seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager to join our growing team. This individual contributor role serves as the Directly Responsible Individual for assigned initiatives, accountable for delivery outcomes, execution rigor, and stakeholder alignment. What You'll Do

Project & Program Leadership

  • Manage cross-functional technical projects and contribute to larger program initiatives from initiation through execution, delivery and operationalization for healthcare and life sciences data and analytics products.
  • Manage product development initiatives across Product and Engineering and/or technical initiatives with IT.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, success metrics, dependencies, and implementation plans and drive alignment and commitment to delivery outcomes
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, communication plans, release schedules, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on priorities, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and program governance activities.
  • Drive quarterly planning, roadmap alignment, prioritization, and execution tracking activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program and project management practices.
  • Drive decision-making across stakeholders by clearly framing tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations, and escalating with proposed paths forward.
  • Partner closely with engineering, data and IT teams to understand system architecture, data flows, and technical dependencies to inform execution planning.

Delivery Excellence & Operational Governance

  • Support and maintain program governance standards, reporting frameworks, operating cadences, and execution processes.
  • Apply appropriate delivery methodologies based on the nature of the initiative, including agile practices where applicable.
  • Ensure transparency into project status, risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and delivery timelines.
  • Help drive operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives across teams.
  • Maintain consistency in project documentation, reporting, and communication practices.
  • Support software labor capitalization practices where applicable.
  • Support agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
  • Operate within and help scale a structured program management framework, including governance cadences, standardized reporting, and execution rigor across Product & Engineering and IT.

Tooling & Reporting

  • Produce clear and concise project and stakeholder updates, including dashboards and status reports.
  • Drive consistent and effective use of Jira, Confluence and/or Asana for transparent project planning, reporting, project tracking and time tracking.
  • Support and improve Tempo time tracking adoption.
  • Prepare executive-ready status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and KPI tracking.
  • Support cross-program reporting and delivery visibility initiatives.
  • Help improve workflows, reporting structures, and team collaboration practices.

Risk & Dependency Management

  • Identify and proactively manage project and program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate mitigation plans and escalate critical concerns appropriately with clear recommendations and impact framing.
  • Track cross-functional dependencies to support successful delivery outcomes.
  • Support teams in resolving blockers and navigating competing priorities.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Provide clear, effective communication among stakeholders at varying organizational levels and functions.
  • Translate complex technical or operational information into concise and actionable updates.
  • Provide regular program updates on project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support organizational change management and stakeholder engagement activities where needed.
  • Interface regularly with senior leadership to provide executive-level updates, influence priorities, and support strategic decision-making.

Culture & Team Contribution

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence across teams.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and disciplined execution.
  • Share best practices and support onboarding or mentoring of junior team members as appropriate.
  • Act as a reliable and proactive partner within the Program Management organization.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional technical projects and contributing to complex program delivery.
  • Proven experience managing programs related to software engineering, data science, data engineering, and other technical domains.
  • Exposure to AI/ML initiatives, data platforms, or DevSecOps practices preferred.
  • Deep understanding of agile development frameworks and engineering operations.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle required, and software development experience preferred.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization and driving complex cross-team dependencies at scale.
  • Ability to operate effectively in environments involving data platforms, pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or related certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence and Asana required; experience with Tempo a plus.
  • Experience with executive reporting, governance processes, and cross-functional coordination preferred.
  • Results-driven, adaptable, self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

 

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $113,000 – $211,000 per year, which represents the base pay the company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role. Actual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. 

Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible to participate in a company bonus or commission plan. All employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited paid time off, and participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
