Senior Director, Site Engagement & Field Reimbursement

Remote

Definium Therapeutics is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company and our mission is to forge a new era of psychiatry by applying scientific rigor to psychedelics, with the goal of developing accessible treatments that unlock healing at scale.

Our lead product candidate, lysergide tartrate (our proprietary orally disintegrating tablet form of lysergide (LSD) D-tartrate), represents a highly differentiated, potential best-in-class opportunity for patients suffering from generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Our early stage pipeline includes DT402, the R-enantiomer of MDMA and is under development to target the core symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specifically addressing social communication challenges.

Guided by the recognition that patients deserve more than better, Definium is relentlessly advancing a new generation of therapeutics intended to address the underlying causes of psychiatric and neurological disorders. By turning evidence into impact, Definium aims to change the trajectory of today’s mental health care crisis and enable a healthier future. Headquartered in New York, Definium Therapeutics trades on Nasdaq under the symbol DFTX.

Together we are moving psychiatry forward—beyond better, into a boundless future. Join us!

As Definium Therapeutics approaches a pivotal commercial launch for DT120, we are seeking a hands-on Senior Director, Site Engagement & Field Reimbursement to build and lead the field organization responsible for readying treatment sites to deliver DT120 and securing their reimbursement pathway once live. Reporting to the Vice President of Market Access, this role owns both halves of the equation that determines whether a site can treat patients: the ability to operationalize DT120, and the ability to secure adequate reimbursement.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Lead the Field Reimbursement and Site Engagement teams and the DT120 Site Activation and Engagement Teams
  • Develop and own Definium's billing and coding strategy, including leading development of reimbursement applications (J-code, G-code, and CPT Category I advocacy) in partnership with coding consultants, HEOR, and government affairs
  • Partner with Patient Services, Payer Marketing, Trade & Distribution, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Field Sales leadership to support development of needed strategies as well as align site readiness, reimbursement support, and launch timelines across the commercial organization
  • Hire, develop, and manage two Directors and their respective field teams; build the operating rhythm, KPIs, and reporting structure for a newly established field organization
  • Synthesize site, physician, and field team feedback into evolving site engagement, billing, and reimbursement strategy, and report insights to the VP, Market Access

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in market access, field reimbursement, or site-of-care/account management within specialty pharmaceuticals, cell & gene therapy, or REMS-required products
  • Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience, including leading leaders (managing managers/directors)
  • Direct experience with buy-and-bill reimbursement models and CMS coding pathways (J-code, G-code, CPT Category I)
  • Experience standing up or scaling a site-of-care network for a limited-distribution or REMS-required product strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build a field organization from the ground up — hiring, structuring, and leading a team of field leaders and their teams
  • Deep fluency in physician and site reimbursement mechanics (coverage, coding, and payment) and the CMS/AMA processes for securing new codes
  • Strong site-of-care operational knowledge: site selection, activation, credentialing, and onboarding for complex administration therapies
  • Executive presence and the ability to represent Definium externally with treatment sites, physician practices, and reimbursement stakeholders
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity in a pre-launch, resource-constrained environment while building durable, scalable processes
  • Heavy travel (50%+) to treatment sites and field team locations nationally
  • Ability to travel on short notice to support site activations and escalated reimbursement issues

The starting base pay range for this position is $250,000.00 - $295,000.00. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.

Employees in this role may be entitled to additional compensation, including bonus and equity. Benefits information is listed on our Jobs Page. The Company provides competitive benefits to employees including:

  • 100% paid health benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision for you and your dependents
  • 401(k) program with company match and vesting after the turn of the first month after your start date
