Purpose:

As a UI Engineer at Degreed, you will play a crucial role in building dynamic and high-performance web applications. Your work will directly impact the user experience by delivering seamless, responsive, and scalable front-end solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to create engaging user interfaces that align with business goals. You will be responsible for optimizing performance, ensuring high code quality, and integrating APIs to deliver a superior digital experience.

You’ll be joining a high-impact, cross-functional team of talented engineers who are passionate about creating innovative and user-centric web applications.

Key Skills.

• Angular Expertise – Deep knowledge of Angular core concepts, including components, modules, services, routing, and reactive programming with RxJS.
• TypeScript Proficiency – Strong understanding of TypeScript, including typing concepts and syntax.
• Front-End Development – Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including advanced concepts like DOM manipulation and asynchronous programming.
• API Integration – Experience consuming RESTful APIs to fetch and manage data effectively.
• UI Design & Component Architecture – Ability to translate UI/UX designs into functional Angular components while ensuring modularity and reusability.
• Testing & Quality Assurance – Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Jasmine or Jest and end-to-end testing tools like Protractor or Cypress.
• Performance Optimization – Knowledge of techniques such as lazy loading, efficient change detection, and optimizing rendering for better performance.
• Collaboration & Communication – Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Analytical skills to debug and resolve complex application issues while staying updated with the latest Angular best practices.
