Overview: As an RF Desense Engineer focused on wireless consumer devices with more features and sensors into compact form factors, you will have the opportunity to work on the intricate and complex challenges impacting product design to deliver the best in class wireless. We are looking for a self-driven and dynamic individual that thrives in a flexible, innovative, and fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- End to end RF desense system development: architecture, design, validation, troubleshooting and production. Deliver high-performance RF desense solutions.
- Determine the effects of product operation to wireless performance. Understand system design to identify potential noise sources and desense risks.
- Review product designs at schematic, board layout, mechanical structure and other design levels.
- Work closely with other wireless, mechanical, electrical, sensor/module, and FW/SW engineers through research, prototyping, and implementation in shipping products.
- Utilize experience in RF desense concepts such as shielding and grounding with both measurement and simulation data to desense design and debugging.
- Design desense test methodology and setup. Execute desense validation.
- Propose corrective actions to address desense issues.
- Organize validation results and proposals into reports and presented to cross functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or wireless consumer electronics industry experience or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s with 3yrs of experience
- Knowledgeable in analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis.
- Knowledgeable in RF design with technical understanding of radio technologies: cellular, WiFi/BT, GPS, etc.
- Familiarity with RF schematic and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout best practices and guidelines.
- Experience using problem solving skills and a flair for understanding the physics of radiated noise coupling mechanisms.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic simulations and familiarity with common EM tools.
- Hands on knowledge of general purpose RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on RF hardware or EMI.
- 1+ years desense development experience on consumer products, or RF hardware design or antenna design, in wireless consumer electronics industries.
- Proficient in one or more electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys and CST etc.
- Familiar with WiFi, GPS and cellular test call boxes and radiated RF test.
