About the Team

Our global Legal team has built a strong reputation within the company for our highly collaborative and supportive approach to counseling, always with a bias for action. We are a diverse group of lawyers and legal professionals with a shared passion for providing creative, best-in-class service to our business partners. The Competition & Litigation team advises DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo on antitrust, competition, and litigation matters across every market we operate in.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Counsel, Competition & Litigation to join our growing Legal team and work globally across the DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo brands. Reporting to the Director, Competition & Litigation, you’ll be a generalist antitrust attorney who can move fast: advising product and business teams in real time, supporting M&A and strategic investments alongside our Corporate Development team, and driving forward regulatory investigations and inquiries, with a particular focus on Europe. This is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our London HQ or Brussels office for a minimum of 3 days a week.

• Serve as a trusted antitrust/competition advisor to product, business, and corporate development teams, delivering fast, practical counsel that lets the business move with velocity while properly managing risk.
• Advise on the competition and antitrust dimensions of M&A transactions, strategic investments, and commercial partnerships, partnering closely with Corporate Development and our sales teams.
• Manage antitrust and competition regulatory investigations and inquiries globally.
• Help build out DoorDash’s international competition compliance program, partnering with the Director, Competition & Litigation on training, policies, and processes across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
• Support competition-related litigation matters as needed, including document collection and review, witness preparation, and responses to third-party subpoenas.
• Partner with policy and government relations teams to track legal and regulatory developments that could affect the business.

We’re excited about you because…

• You are a qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or bring similar qualifications in another European jurisdiction) with significant experience providing strategic legal advice to international businesses.
• You have 7+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department, with a strong grounding in antitrust/competition law as a generalist — spanning M&A counseling, litigation, and regulatory/government investigations.
• You have experience advising on competition issues in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, including regulatory filings and clearance strategy.
• You have experience handling antitrust/competition regulatory inquiries or investigations, ideally including direct engagement with regulators such as the European Commission, UK CMA, DOJ, FTC, or other competition authorities.
• You’re comfortable operating as a generalist across a broad portfolio — you don’t need deep pre-existing expertise in every sub-area, but you can quickly get up to speed and give practical, business-minded advice.
• You’re an excellent product counselor: able to translate complex antitrust concepts into clear, fast, actionable guidance for product and business teams.
• You’re comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and legal systems, and can navigate the added complexity of advising across three global brands (DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo).
• You have strong organizational skills and can juggle multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• You’re an outstanding communicator, both orally and in writing, with sound judgment on when to escalate and when to move forward independently.
