About the Role:

 
As the Product Marketing Senior Director - Portfolio, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and full-stack product marketer for our overarching Demandbase software/platform, services, and solutions. You will lead product marketing efforts for any and all initiatives that span across the entire software platform, our professional services, and solutions/verticals. This includes managing all aspects related to positioning & messaging, launch planning & management, field asset creation, and collaboration with field enablement. You will also own the competitive intelligence program, and have strong influence over other product marketing related initiatives, including packaging & pricing and analyst relations. You will be responsible for driving the overall go-to-market strategy for portfolio-wide launches, collaborating with other product marketers and ensuring cross-functional alignment from “product to pipeline”.

The base compensation range for this position, not including a company bonus, is: $185,000 - $220,000

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the development of positioning & messaging strategies, including product naming conventions, to ensure clear and compelling communication of product value propositions.
  • Oversee launch planning and management, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.
  • Create and manage field assets (both internal and external facing), ensuring that sales and marketing teams are equipped with the information needed to effectively sell and promote the product.
  • Collaborate closely with the Enablement team to drive field enablement initiatives, ensuring that teams are well-trained and confident in delivering the product messaging.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and market opportunities, feeding insights back into the product development process.
  • Collaborate on detailed competitive analysis to understand the competitive landscape and position the product effectively against key competitors.
  • As needed, define and refine ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and segmentation strategies, ensuring that marketing efforts are targeted at the most valuable customer segments.
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of VoC (Voice of Customer) programs to gather and analyze customer feedback, ensuring the product meets customer needs and expectations.
  • As needed, refine our buyer personas to guide marketing strategies and ensure alignment with customer needs and behaviors.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in product marketing, most or all in the B2B SaaS/technology industry. 15+ years of experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the sales and marketing market and personas, with ability to translate that understanding into compelling, value-based messaging.
  • Experience preferred supporting AI-powered products and crafting value-based AI messaging.
  • Direct experience product marketing for both software and services. Experience supporting industry/vertical marketing is also strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in leading go-to-market strategies and product launches.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and positioning.
  • Experience in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment from product development to sales.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with VoC programs and buyer persona development.
  • Ability and desire to work independently as a senior individual contributor, with a track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.
