Director of Business Intelligence

OVERVIEW OF OUR POSITION

Premier Care Dental Management owns and oversees 140+ dental practices throughout the Northeast. Our organization is expanding rapidly, and we are looking to bring on a Director of Business Intelligence with an emphasis on Power BI development.  

The individual should also be experienced in SQL development and back end ETL processes. Reporting to both the VP of Business Intelligence and the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role oversees the management of the Power BI environment and company-wide reporting. The Director will collaborate with internal teams to understand user needs, design solutions, and assess project feasibility within time and budget constraints. Responsibilities include software testing, validation, installation, and ensuring applications run smoothly. The role also involves gathering user feedback to improve usability and advising on system performance, hardware configurations, and software maintenance. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with internal teams to understand user needs; drafts initial proposal and design of software to meet these needs.
  • Assesses feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints.
  • Monitors and assists with software testing, validation procedures, programming and maintenance.
  • Monitors and assists with software installation; ensures application operates within established specifications.
  • Gathers and evaluates user feedback and then modifies software for better usability.
  • Determines required system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications, budget, security needs, and other parameters.
  • Collaborates with operational teams and data analysts to manage and maintain systems to support required organizational applications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Project management experience required, and a background in Dental DSO, healthcare, pharmacy, or retail is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Azure SQL Server, Azure AD, Powershell, and other relevant technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of medical or dental schemas, coding languages, and systems is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 annually
