JOB SUMMARY: The Broncos legal department is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join the team. In this role, you will provide paralegal support across a broad range of legal functions, including corporate, commercial and litigation. Additionally, this role will assist in evaluating, implementing, overseeing and developing the legal department technology suite, including contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, and training business teams on legal technology tools. This position reports to the Deputy General Counsel.
This is a full-time role based on-site in our offices, primarily Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit in Englewood, CO, with occasional duties at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, CO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Legal Department Support:
- Provide corporate, commercial and litigation support to the legal department
- Assist with the formation and management of corporate entities and ownership matters
- Help evaluate, implement, onboard and optimize a suite of legal technology, including CLM software
- Assist internal and external counsel in preparation for litigation, insurance claims and workers’ compensation matters, including information and document gathering, review and organization
- Work with IT and other departments to implement and manage legal holds and assist in document and data preservation, searching, collection and production
- Draft, review and maintain update schedules for commercial contracts and templates
- Support and contribute to the development of process improvement within the legal department and other internal teams
- Assist with general compliance, insurance and corporate governance matters
- Work with legal and finance departments on department budgets and financial reporting
- Complete other related duties assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of paralegal experience at a law firm or in-house corporation, or combination thereof
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated solutions oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to occasionally work hours outside of normal business hours with little or no advance notice
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Paralegal Certification and current Notary Public certification
- Experience with legal contract management software and other legal technology tools
- Prior sports and/or entertainment work experience or a demonstrated strong interest in the business of sports and entertainment
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000.
