JOB PURPOSE:

As a Production QA Lead for our eBay studio with a keen eye for detail, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our eBay production studio, overseeing the production and delivery of high-quality retail briefs. Your role will involve managing the studio team (copy and design), writing copy and designing when required, and maintaining rigorous quality control standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring that every project meets our high standards of excellence, whilst motivating the team and holding them accountable.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the reviews of studio work, ensuring the output is on-brand, on-brief and error-free. 
  • Ability to jump on the tools where needed - writing copy and tweaking/finessing design
  • Ensure client deadlines are consistently met across multiple campaigns, coordinating with the Client Director on team capacity and workload.
  • Prioritise studio tasks effectively, escalating issues when necessary to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate daily with account service addressing inquiries, managing expectations, and proactively providing updates or recommendations.
  • Accurately convey feedback to retail copywriters, designers, and merchandisers, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Uphold brief requirements while preserving DEPT brand values and creative standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the client's retail business, strategies, objectives, brand, audiences, and challenges.
  • Ensure high standards are consistently maintained, adding value wherever possible.
  • Meet success criteria and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Stay informed about all DEPT products and services, actively promoting them to clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to test and refine artwork across client-owned channels, driving efficiencies and improving processes.
  • Regularly review and enhance ways of working between key clients and DEPT to optimise production studio operations.

YOU:

  • 5+ years of experience in a studio management or production environment. (Experience in QA production is essential).
  • Incredibly high attention to detail - to a proofreading standard. 
  • Experience in writing copy and graphic design QA.
  • Experience in managing direct reports.
  • Ability to self-educate, learn quickly, and work independently.
  • Understanding of email best practices, customer segmentation, and onsite marketing.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and effectively manages pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with initiative and drive.
  • Results-oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong prioritisation skills, strategic thinking, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Skilled in networking, building relationships, and influencing stakeholders across teams.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure client deadlines are met across multiple campaigns and liaise with the Client Director on team capacity.
  • Prioritise workloads for the team and escalate when needed.
  • Liaise daily with account and studio teams to clarify questions, manage expectations, and proactively communicate status, updates, or recommendations.
  • Clearly and effectively transfer feedback to designers, copywriters, and merchandisers.
  • Ensure client requirements are met while protecting DEPT brand values.
  • Maintain a full understanding of the client's business, strategies, objectives, brand, audiences, and challenges.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained and add value wherever possible.
  • Ensure success criteria are met and projects are delivered on time.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of all DEPT products and services.
  • Collaborate with the team to test creatives across client-owned channels to improve ways of working and drive efficiencies.
  • Regularly review and improve processes within DEPT studio
  • Maintain a positive work environment for the studio team members. be the support they need whilst holding them accountable
