This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team in Germany. We combine technology and experience design to create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is digital experiences and communication that change perceptions and shape new behaviours to make a difference in the market.

 

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Digital Strategist will be working hand-in-hand with all areas of the business, including the client service team and the experience design and engineering team. As an integrated digital agency, our agency services span wide and far. Hence, it’s essential the Senior Digital Strategist has experience with digital strategy (experience strategy, product strategy, design and tech strategy, organisational design, cross-team stakeholder management). Ideally also having an interest in the wider range of strategic disciplines, from brand- and business strategy to marketing strategy. The strategy team consists of an eclectic mix of strategists, all with deeply rooted specialisms in the digital experience and engineering, research and innovation space. The Senior Digital Strategist will lead client accounts into their digital future, creating routes for digital platforms, digital products and experience touchpoints as part of the ever-evolving digital ecosystem - ensuring value is created holistically end-to-end by cross-functional teams, for both the users and client business.

The Senior Digital Strategist will be expected to deliver:

  • Innovation: instill market-leading innovations and AI-opportunities into a multi-channel, cross-functional digital experience strategy that our clients couldn’t get anywhere else
  • Business Alignment: Break silos and inspire teams across disciplines to design and deliver big & bold ideas with measurable impact
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships: listen with empathy to understand clients’ challenges, ideas and ambitions across departments and formulate strategic priorities, convince with opportunities and establish ways of working from it. In this, take stakeholders with you on the journey to commit and pursue roadmaps.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead- and guide a wide range of strategic disciplines and client stakeholders; from digital experience and product strategy, to crm & loyalty strategy, to data & AI strategy
  • Innovate our offering by working closely with tech, experience design and data to ensure we are delivering market-leading strategic approaches to our clients
  • Upping the benchmark of the work and ensuring we are leading the industry by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible (i.e. with AI, automation, data) while delivering incremental improvements on ROI
  • Lead and participate in new business pitches; locally and globally.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Relevant experience within a strategy-focused role in an agency or consultancy setting
  • German- and English-fluent speaker
  • A solid understanding of digital experience & engineering solutions around websites, platforms, portals and apps
  • Transformation & client leadership: Be a driver and force for change in large corporate client environments, especially when it comes to stakeholder alignment and prioritisation
  • Customer Journey Management & User Experience: Understanding end-to-end user journeys and their management across disciplines. Ability to identify opportunities to improve the overall user experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex subjects simply
  • Ability to work with senior clients on key strategy projects and comfortable presenting to senior-level audiences
  • Availability to start working in or relocate to the greater Hamburg or Berlin area, Germany

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of CRM platforms, e-commerce and loyalty program mechanics: Experience in developing strategies for personalized communication, lifecycle marketing, and retention.
  • Passionate about researching and reimagining the future of digital experience through a thoughtful blend of qualitative insights (user / market / trends) and quantitative data (e.g. analytics) to inform strategic decisions and continued improvement
  • Comfortable planning and facilitating workshops with clients, based on a proven but flexible methodological tool set
  • Very efficient, producing significant output with minimal wasted effort
  • Ideally experienced with design thinking methodologies
  • Demonstrates strong focus under pressure and can get stuff done on a tight deadline
  • Loves learning and embracing new things
  • Great interpersonal and listening skills
  • Very organised, with a high attention to detail
