Group Account Directors at DEPT® lead some of our most significant global client relationships, working across Fortune 100 brands in technology, sports, entertainment, and other dynamic industries. You are a trusted advisor, strategist, and creative partner who can inspire bold thinking while ensuring flawless delivery.
You combine client management acumen with creative judgment and operational excellence, ensuring our work pushes boundaries while driving measurable business results. You represent DEPT® at the most senior levels of client engagement and connect day-to-day delivery with long-term growth and transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Leadership & Growth
- Serve as the senior relationship lead for a large global client, build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders by shaping strategies, business growth opportunities, and innovation roadmaps.
- Lead annual and long-term planning with clients, connecting industry trends and insights to business opportunities.
- Proactively drive client retention, satisfaction, and growth through collaborative leadership and delivery excellence.
- Anticipate client needs, provide clear counsel, and act as the point of escalation on strategic and delivery challenges.
- Ensure all work reflects a deep understanding of client business goals and delivers tangible ROI.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams across strategy, creative, media, and production.
- Build strong team culture focused on collaboration, growth, and accountability.
- Ensure teams are grounded in both the tactical delivery details and the broader business context of the clients you represent, acting as the internal authority on the account.
- Match the right talent to the right client challenges, considering expertise, style, and long-term fit.
- Proactively resolve interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional challenges to maintain team cohesion and focus.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that balances creative ambition and performance.
Creative Excellence & Delivery
- Oversee delivery of complex, high-volume, multi-market campaigns, ensuring excellence across creative, media, and content production.
- Ensure work is strategically grounded, creatively ambitious, and executed to the highest standards.
- Collaborate across disciplines to push innovation across creative, design, media, data, and technology.
- Serve as both client partner and internal brand steward, ensuring client vision is championed within DEPT® while shaping culturally relevant, creatively ambitious, and innovative work.
- Translate insights and performance data into actionable strategies that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks, addressing performance, tracking, QA, and cross-functional challenges proactively.
- Contribute to evolving process, training, and best practices by regularly assessing and improving ways of working to enhance account planning, client service, and cross-team collaboration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in client service or account leadership roles within creative, digital, or integrated agencies.
- Proven success managing large, global client portfolios and multi-market campaigns for Fortune 100 brands, with expertise navigating complex organizational structures. Experience across technology, sports, entertainment, media, or lifestyle industries strongly preferred.
- Strong background in brand & creative campaigns, content production, paid and organic social, and influencer/creator-led projects.
- Commercial acumen with demonstrated success managing $MM budgets, contracts, and revenue growth.
- Experience leading, motivating, and coaching large multi-disciplinary teams (50+).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders at the highest level.
- Strong problem-solver with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, resolve complex challenges, and remain calm under pressure.
- A balance of creative taste, cultural awareness, and operational discipline.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Data-driven mindset, able to translate insights into actionable strategies.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $152,400 - $185,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we're flexible.
