THE ROLE:

The Senior Adobe Functional Lead is a pivotal strategic role responsible for ensuring the success of our clients' digital transformation initiatives with the Adobe Content Supply Chain suite of tools. You will be the primary bridge between client business objectives and technical execution, translating complex needs into functional solutions.

This senior resource will not only lead client engagements but will also be instrumental in defining and building our internal Adobe functional consulting practice. You will establish delivery methodologies, mentor a team of consultants, and act as a change management champion to drive client adoption and maximize their return on investment. This role requires a deep understanding of Adobe Content Supply Chain products and Adobe Experience Platform products particularly suites focused on customer experience, commerce, and content (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Commerce, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Firefly, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer, RT-CDP), combined with exceptional leadership and client-facing skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

          Client Strategy & Functional Leadership

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions on major client programs to deeply understand business goals, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Act as the primary functional expert and trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on best practices for leveraging the Adobe Products to achieve their vision.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and other necessary documentation for technical teams.
  • Serve as the key liaison between client stakeholders and internal technical teams (Architects, Developers, QA), ensuring business vision is accurately translated and implemented.
  • Validate and approve solution designs to ensure they meet client requirements and adhere to industry best practices.

    Practice & Team Development
  • Define, build, and mature the functional consulting capabilities within our Adobe practice.
  • Establish and document best practices, standards, and reusable templates for functional analysis and requirements definition.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a team of Adobe functional consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and hiring process for new functional team members.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to enhance the skills of the functional team and other cross-functional groups.

    Delivery & Change Management Excellence
  • Define and refine our end-to-end delivery methodology for the functional aspects of Adobe implementation projects.
  • Lead the change management workstream for clients, developing strategies for user adoption, training plans, and communication frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to the new platform.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, and work with project management to develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure the quality of all functional deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 8+ years of experience in a functional lead, senior business analyst, or product owner role, with a strong focus on enterprise-level digital platforms.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Adobe Experience Platform and CSC suite of products. Deep functional knowledge is required in several of the following: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Commerce (Magento), Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Optimizer, RT-CDP, Adobe Workfront
  • Proven experience in a client-facing consulting role, with exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to confidently interact with C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, define strategic direction, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of leading change management initiatives, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and user training.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum/Kanban).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Official Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Master (ACM) certifications.
  • Experience working in a digital agency or consulting firm (e.g., Big 4).
  • Experience in a specific industry vertical (e.g., Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.

The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.

US Remote Range

$136,000 - $155,000 USD
