Creative Copywriter (m/f/div)

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Marketing team based in Berlin. You’ll work with a vibrant mix of talents, ranging from Brand Strategists, Creatives, Designers, Social Experts and Influencer Marketers to Account managers and Producers. As a digital creative marketing agency, we mix traditional storytelling with the best of what today’s technology has to offer to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients. 

We're looking for a Mid-level or Senior Creative Copywriter who combines strong conceptual thinking with solid writing skills. Someone who can develop campaign ideas, shape brand narratives, and bring clarity to complex briefs through compelling storytelling.

You'll work closely with an Art Director partner, Designers, Strategists, and Social Creatives to develop integrated campaigns, creative platforms, and content ecosystems for both German and international brands. While your expertise lies in words, your thinking extends far beyond copy. You understand how ideas come to life across channels, audiences, and touchpoints. You are a proactive and digitally savvy creative, ready to generate original ideas that help our clients stay ahead. Your concepts will be rooted in culture, focused on building brands rather than just adding to the noise.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building brands, loves solving creative problems, and can confidently move between campaign concepts, messaging frameworks, social-first thinking, and long-form storytelling.

Our creative department is evolving and comprises a mix of talented creatives and specialists in media, social, and technology, all working together to showcase the best DEPT has to offer. You’ll bring the ability to sell your ideas with flair, backing them up with strategic insights, trends, and data to create memorable advertising.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Deliver standout campaign ideas and creative concepts for a diverse range of brands.
  • Conceptualize, pitch, and bring your creative ideas to life.
  • Focus on digital to unlock tomorrow’s possibilities.
  • Approach creativity with a strategic mindset, incorporating cultural trends, data, and insights.
  • Collaborate with our digital, media, and social experts.
  • Move beyond TV-first thinking to create content for 360-degree campaigns that work across all touchpoints.
  • Integrate AI tools and processes into your workflow.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Extensive experience as a Creative in an agency with a strong portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns and original storytelling.
  • Native German with excellent English skills, capable of working with German and international brands.
  • Ability to use different tones in campaigns, creating engaging and memorable content.
  • A proactive mindset, a small-agency mentality, and a drive to take initiative, lead projects, and deliver results without waiting for direction
  • Keen interest in digital trends, social media and the use of AI where it makes sense.
