
Contract Manager
About the Role
As an Contract Manager at Designed Conveyor Systems, you will play a key role in supporting both customer and vendor contracts across the organization. You will help guide contracts through the full Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) process, ensuring agreements are structured clearly, managed effectively, and aligned with business goals. The contracts you work with will support the installation and maintenance of material handling systems, automated warehouse solutions, and related technologies. This role blends contract negotiation, process oversight, and cross functional collaboration. You will partner closely with teams across Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Legal, and the Program Management Office to help ensure contracts move smoothly from drafting through execution and close out. In This Role, You Will
• Partner with internal subject matter experts and legal counsel to support contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and reduce risk
• Prepare, review, and analyze proposals, agreements, amendments, and addendums to ensure contracts are accurate, complete, and compliant
• Manage contracts through the full lifecycle from initiation to execution and close out, ensuring documentation is maintained and obligations are tracked
• Identify potential contractual risks and work with stakeholders to address liabilities, disputes, or compliance concerns
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong working relationships and support successful contract execution
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Support internal governance by ensuring contract management processes are followed and addressing non-compliant requests when necessary
• Communicate contract requirements, terms, and status updates to stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering, Legal, and executive leadership
• Coordinate with the Program Management Office on related systems and reporting to maintain visibility into contracts in process
Why We’re Excited About You
• You bring 5+ years of experience working directly with contracts in a similar role, ideally within material handling, construction, engineering, or a related industry
• You have a strong understanding of contract terminology, contract law fundamentals, and contract management best practices
• You are a confident communicator who can navigate discussions with a variety of stakeholders, from project teams to legal counsel
• You have strong negotiation and relationship building skills and know how to balance protecting the business while maintaining productive internal and external relationships
• You are highly organized and able to manage multiple agreements/contracts at once while keeping priorities and deadlines on track
• You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, business law, or a related field
• You bring strong written and verbal communication skills along with a collaborative, customer focused approach
• You are comfortable working in Microsoft Office and can quickly adapt to new systems and tools that support contract management processes
• You are detail oriented, proactive, and motivated by building structure and clarity in complex environments
