Talent Management Specialist

About the Role: 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Talent Management Lead to drive the development and execution of key talent initiatives, including drafting and refining job descriptions, competency frameworks, career pathing, and succession planning. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the employee experience, ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills, opportunities, and career development tools necessary for success. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, organizational development, or talent management, with expertise in job architecture, skills mapping, and workforce planning. You will collaborate with HR, leadership, and business units to align our talent strategies with company objectives, fostering an environment where employees can grow and thrive.

In this role, you will… 

Develop Job Descriptions & Competency Models 

  • Design and maintain comprehensive job descriptions that align with business needs and industry best practices. 
  • Create competency frameworks that define the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required for each role. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners to ensure role clarity and consistency across departments. 

Define Career Paths & Growth Opportunities 

  • Develop and implement career progression frameworks that provide employees with clear paths for advancement. 
  • Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) teams to align training programs with career growth opportunities. 
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas for employee development and future workforce needs. 

Support Succession Planning & Workforce Development 

  • Partner with HRBP to design and implement succession planning processes to ensure a strong talent pipeline for key roles. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership opportunities. 
  • Analyze internal mobility trends and recommend strategies for retention and talent progression. 

Enhance Employee Experience & Engagement 

  • Work closely with People & Culture teams to integrate talent initiatives into employee engagement strategies. 
  • In collaboration with our L&D team members, develop resources and tools to support career coaching and professional development. 
  • Provide guidance to managers on talent conversations, promotions, and performance alignment. 

Analyze & Report on Talent Trends 

  • Utilize HR data and analytics to track talent trends, measure the effectiveness of talent development programs, and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, offering data-driven insights on workforce development. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in talent management, workforce planning, and HR innovation.

You Bring Expertise: 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • You have 5+ years of experience in talent management, workforce planning, HR, or a related function. 
  • You have a strong understanding of job architecture, competency modeling, and career frameworks. 
  • You’re familiar with HR technologies, workforce planning tools, and talent analytics. 

You Have Strong Skills: 

  • You excel at project management and can lead cross-functional initiatives. 
  • Your communication and facilitation skills enable you to engage stakeholders effectively. 
  • You have an analytical mindset, with experience in HR data analysis and reporting. 
  • You’re adaptable and solutions-oriented, with a passion for building scalable, employee-centric talent programs. 

You’re Passionate About Talent Development: 

  • You believe in creating opportunities for employees to grow and succeed. 
  • You’re excited about driving organizational success through talent strategy and workforce planning. 
  • Certifications like SHRM-CP, PHR, or talent management-specific credentials are a plus.
