We are looking for a UX Product Designer to join our Oil & Gas clients’ Digital Solutions Team and contribute to contribute to developing innovative digital solutions that enhance operational excellence and efficiency across their extensive oilfield services portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Apply innovative ideas and create the next generation software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, data scientists, technical writers, and design professionals across a global
  • Design comprehensive, innovative, industry-facing product experiences that support critical service delivery applications, including drilling optimization platforms, completion design systems, reservoir modeling interfaces, and wellbore performance analytics.
  • Work with our team to envision and define the next generation of products; research and learn new areas of industry, interview customers, guide subject matter experts, build user stories, wireframes, and production-grade compositions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Craft

  • Act on the end-to-end design process—from discovery and research to prototyping, testing, and final delivery
  • Shape product features together with product managers
  • Work on design decisions that balance user needs with business objectives
  • Design intuitive, elegant, and scalable experiences that solve user problems and drive business
  • Conduct user research, interviews, usability testing, and gather user feedback

Flow, Design System & Processes

  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Establish and maintain design systems and style guides
  • Work with design standards and best practices

Accountability

  • Meeting with clients to identify their needs
  • Communicating the project specifications to the product design team
  • Research and learn new areas of industry
  • Interview customers and subject matter experts
  • Create ideas that improve the life of the user
  • Develop user stories and personas
  • Wireframe new product workflows
  • Design and annotate production-grade comps
  • Organize monthly reviews with management
  • Ensure all work is prioritized and completed correctly
  • Conceptualizing and refining product designs
  • Lead workshops to solve complex product challenges
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and executives
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design implementation fidelity
  • Prepare written reports regarding status and progress
  • Analyze user data and metrics to inform design decisions
  • Stay current with design trends and emerging technologies like AR/VR and voice interaction design

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Design, Art, Communication, Engineering or Specialization or Master’s preferred.
  • Formal studies in relevant disciplines, such as User Interface, User Experience, or Interaction Design
  • Skilled in digital product or project design and execution, interpretation of experimental results, and numerical analysis of data

Experience

  • 5-10 years of product design experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process and shipped products
  • Solid design approach and process for tackling a design problem
  • Ability to explain rationale
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams

Hard Skills 

Design Tools & Software

  • Expertise in design programs such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
  • Proficiency in similar prototyping tools like Framer and Principle
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end development constraints
  • Knowledge in data analysis tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)

Technical Competencies 

  • Proven technical abilities in Design & User Experience disciplines
  • User research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Information architecture and interaction design
  • Visual design principles, color and typography
  • Prototyping and wireframing
  • Design system creation and maintenance
  • Content design principles
  • Service design knowledge

Desired and Preferred Qualifications 

Advanced Experience

  • Background in B2B product design (B2C is a bonus)
  • Experience with emerging technologies (AR/VR, voice interfaces, AI/ML)
  • Data-driven design mindset

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of business metrics and KPIs
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles

Bonus

  • Experience in the Energy industry, especially within Oil & Gas
  • Experience with design systems (at scale)
  • Background in B2C product design
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Experience designing animation and micro interactions
  • Experience with AI Design tools

Compensation: Starting at $60.00 per hour

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
