IT Specialist

The IT Specialist will provide technical and administrative support of the following infrastructures: Desktop, Servers, LAN, and WLAN. This position will also be responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining all company IT assets and interfacing with end users regularly. The IT Specialists reports to the Manager of IT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The IT Specialist position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:
- Establishes and develops hardware/software specifications and standards by collaborating with business and IT leadership team
- Establishes server and desktop specifications by evaluating application and desktop performance including utilization, availability, throughput, and latency
- Provide end user support at all levels of application, desktop/laptop, network, server, etc.
- Participate in planning and execution of server and desktop selections, installation, configuration, and testing
- Develops, establishes and manage asset management program
- Part of the team selecting vendors for IT needs for entire organization
- Develops, establishes and manages patch management program
- Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems
- Responsible for deploying and managing all end user assets
- Update and maintain departmental documentation, storage areas, and supplies
- Must be willing to be part of an IT team providing 24x7, weekend support, road game support, and game/event support
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.
- Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- The ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- At least two years’ experience with end user computing and support technologies
- At least two years’ experience with networking, server, and desktop technologies
- Knowledge and experience with Windows, Windows Server, and Virtual Technologies
- At least two years’ experience with server and desktop troubleshooting, desktop performance tuning and desktop image development
- Backup and Recovery Management experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision for most of workday
- Associate degree or equivalent in Computer Science from a two-year college or technical certificate plus one to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Network +, MCSA, and MCSE certification a plus
- Evidence of continuing technical education
- Willingness to travel both locally and out of state as needed
- May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Allen Park Training Facility
- A valid Driver’s License and good driving record
