Position Overview
We are looking for an AISC Certified Trainer to join our team and administer comprehensive training programs aligned with the standards of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The trainer will play a critical role in ensuring our team meets and maintains industry certification standards, including quality management, fabrication practices, safety, and compliance protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver AISC-compliant training programs for fabrication, inspection, and quality control teams.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and audits to ensure staff adherence to AISC certification requirements.
- Maintain training documentation and records as required by AISC guidelines.
- Support preparation for external AISC audits and re-certification.
- Collaborate with production managers, quality control personnel, and leadership to align training with project needs and compliance standards.
- Provide hands-on instruction and mentoring for new hires and existing employees.
Requirements
- Must hold current AISC Certified Trainer status or equivalent verifiable credentials.
- In-depth knowledge of AISC standards and quality certification program (QMS).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, construction, or quality management.
- Proven experience in adult learning or corporate training is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel on-site as needed in Springfield, MO.
