What You'll Be Doing:
This developer position is for a project that performs Agile software development for systems that support our client’s mission. This position will involve software development from the requirements gathering phase through coding and testing; researching issues in existing code and finding a solution; preparing ad hoc reports, communicating status including issues and risks to the team; collaborating with team members to reach problem resolution; and learning new skill sets on the job.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience as a full-stack application developer
- A minimum of 3-5 years of directly related professional experience supporting systems in multiple languages and frameworks
- Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (Angular)
- Experience with AWS Cloud Tools (AWS Lambda, EventBridge)
- Experience with Node.js
- Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them
- Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution
- Aptitude for picking up technology quickly along with a desire to learn and progress
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Demonstrates a passion for solving complex software challenges and enjoys collaborating on a team
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of Java and JavaScript (preferred)
- Experience with AWS Lambda (preferred)
- Experience with the SPA concept and libraries (preferred)
- Experience with agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Junit (preferred)
- Experience in writing SQL and working with relational database structures, PostgreSQL, and/or Dynamo DB (highly preferred)
- ICE cleared preferred
- USCIS, CBP, or Top Secret clearance preferred
- Any other DHS clearance preferred
- Any other govt clearance preferred
Our estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $120,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
