High-Level Project Summary/Intro:
Support TSA's IT systems and mission-critical systems through operations support, technology innovation, management services, system maintenance, and the development and implementation of new software solutions
What You'll Be Doing:
Specific Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Unix/Linux servers and related software using management systems such as APT and RPM.
• Monitor and document system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, support the uptime of the system.
• Implement, manage, and coordinate backup, recovery, and failover processes.
• Apply security patches and implement measures such as firewalls (iptables, firewalld, etc.) Work directly with the security team on vulnerability mitigation.
• Manage user accounts and group policies.
• Configure network interfaces, routings, and VLANs.
• Develop and maintain manual and automated scripts for system monitoring, procedures, and changes.
• Provide technical support for our users. Support the helpdesk in resolving inquiries and incidents.
• Work collaboratively with other cross-functional team to support the system.
Requirements:
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship.
• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
• Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period..
• This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed.
• At least 7 years of experience working as a system admin on Unix/Linux systems. Related experience is acceptable.
