The Senior Manager, Employee Relations directs, manages and administers all aspects of Human Resources for the company to meet the needs of employees and managers in meeting their goals and objectives while ensuring fairness and compliance. The Senior Manager, Employee Relations works with the VPHR and Executive Leadership Team to create HR strategies to support the achievement of corporate goals and objectives. The Senior Manager, Employee Relations creates, improves and maintains effective programs for employee morale and retention, performance, training, benefits and compliance activities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with PMs & Executive team to develop and implement plans for improved human resources programs and processes designed to meet the objectives of the organization
- Create programs that foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
- Monitor employee retention and morale, managing and executing initiatives that maintain and improve upon current culture of meeting and exceeding employee expectations
- Support VPHR to manage employee relations to maintain employee morale, support employee and supervisory issues, and ensure fairness and legal compliance and minimize legal risk
- Support effective employee benefits, on-boarding processes and new employee orientation program
- Design, implement, communicate and enforce Corporate and HR policies and procedures
- Support VPHR to manage and enhance performance review program
- Partner with organizational leaders on employee succession planning and implementation
- Manage exit interview process and effective out-boarding process
- Manage corporate job descriptions
- Support supervisors to facilitate communication and ensure fair, responsive and equitable experience for employees
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state mandated requirements as well as completing all required reporting
- Positively impact the business
- Guide People Care Managers on complex employee issues, restructuring and redundancy
- Support BD and proposal needs as related to HR and Comp plans
- Manage highly complex cases
- Own and manage relationship with employees, and other stakeholders such as legal counsel and other stakeholders
- Partner with senior management across supported business lines to provide sound Employee Relations support
- Partners with payroll to communicate payroll related changes and reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Leads and plans employee related events (holiday party, all staff meetings, benefit briefings, etc.)
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Requires minimum 10 years human resources
- Must have broad experience to include solid experience recruiting, benefits management, employee relations and policy development
- General understanding of IT field required
- Experience working in the government contract industry required
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Requires attention to detail, high degree of maturity and professionalism, logical and strategic thinking; excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Must have negotiation skills in working with vendors as well as serving as liaison between employees and managers
- Must have broad proven HR experience in all facets of HR with an emphasis on strong employee relations and employee development experience
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- SPHR or related certification strongly preferred
