Dev Technology Group is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team! This position will be part of a team overseeing database administration and performance tuning—ensuring systems maintain a high level of availability and security.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administer and maintain Oracle database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and responsiveness.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Conduct database capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth and evolving business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, database code, and stored procedures for improved performance.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Oracle database administration, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

 

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

  • At least 7 years of experience with Oracle technologies, with proven DBA experience.
  • An active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python for scripting support.
  • Team player and fast learner with the ability to work proactively and independently in support of mission-critical operations across geographically diverse locations.
  • Desired: Oracle Database Administration certification, RAC & Grid certification, or similar credentials.


Our estimated salary range for this position is $60,000–$115,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
