Title: Business Development Manager 

Type: Full time, exempt

Location: Remote work - But must live in DC/VA/MD to attend meetings when needed

Reports To: Director of Business Development

 

We are growing our team to better serve our clients and seeking to hire a full-time, motivated, self-starter Business Development Manager for our Business Development team. In this role, the Business Development Manager will work closely with our Director of Business Development and will need to identify and capture new business opportunities, develop sales strategies and tactics, possess strong communication and networking skills, and be results driven.

Qualifications:

  • We are growing our business development team to help DFM achieve it's short/long term goals, especially as it relates to increasing our presence in Maryland.
  • The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal direct oversight. It is critical for them to already have solid relationships in the industry they can approach for business opportunities on day one.
  • The Business Development Manager should be a "people person", possess strong communication and networking skills, and be results driven.
  • The Business Development Manager will work to:
    • Identify and capture new business opportunities/proposal requests with the primary focus of growing DFM's presence in Maryland.
    • Develop sales strategies specifically designed to grow DFM's client base in Maryland.
    • Ensure existing clients are aware of all of DFM's services
    • Continue to expand DFM's Salesforce database by adding new contacts/leads to the system.
    • Develop/manage targeted email outreach campaigns with the assistance of the marketing team.
