Pillar Overview:  

​​The Project Management Pillar is a service-oriented pillar within the DFO that is responsible for providing excellent process and project management capabilities to help the Dalio Family and the broader DFO achieve their goals through project management, training, process optimization, and reporting. While the content of these projects will vary in nature consistent with the broad range of interests of the family and requirements of the organization, this person will play a direct role in ensuring the project and organizational goals are met.​ 

Position Summary:

The Project Associate independently manages medium sized projects and initiatives, partnering directly with senior members of the organization on large initiatives and provides direct oversight to analysts throughout the project lifecycle. The position also requires independent management of operational processes within the organization, including producing enterprise-wide metrics, portfolio dashboards, and the administration of pillar specific machines.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:

  • Manage several small to medium projects concurrently and successfully provide leverage to large projects - including risk identification, schedule timing, task and dependency management, budgeting and budget management, project charter and closeouts.
  • Liaise and coordinate between project team, leverage, and key stakeholders to ensure project deliverables & meetings are adequate and timely and project status is well understood.
  • Escalate project issues, risks and critical decisions. Provide regular and accurate status' independently on small/medium projects and machines.
  • Assist with the creation, build, continuous improvement and maintenance of tools, reports and models used for project reporting and analytics.
  • Create documentation with excellent quality in a timely and well synthesized fashion. Ensure efficient and effective project management tools and practices are included within business processes.
  • Executes on moderately complex ad hoc assignments with minimal oversight to achieve high-quality, efficient and timely outcomes with minimal misses (e.g. deliverable delays, missed escalations, detail misses).
  • Hold project or machine resources accountable to project and machine deliverables.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years relevant project management experience, including successful management and completion of multiple small to medium-sized projects concurrently
  • BA/BS required 
  • Familiarity with Process Management methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen) and associated analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to question and probe when necessary
  • Excellent time management and task management skills
  • Experience managing 2-4 small to medium projects concurrently
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • High degree of discretion when handling sensitive subjects or information
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking skills to methodologically identify problems and develop solutions
  • Strong commitment to professional growth and receptiveness to constructive feedback  
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with Monday.com or equivalent project management tools
    • Project Management certification preferred
    • Familiarity with Salesforce, Confluence

 

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $110,000 -$145,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
