About the team:

As part of our Product Development team, you will utilize your personal and professional knowledge and experience to work with stakeholders, engineering, Customers, Product Designers, Marketing, and lead Product teams to deliver high-impact solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer experience. This role is critical in ensuring we build products that enhance customer experience, increase revenue, and solidify our market position.

About the role:

As the Senior Director of Product, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our product management function, driving strategy, execution, and alignment with business goals. You will manage a team of product managers and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, marketing, and sales to build and optimize products that fuel our platform’s success. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, leadership, and execution.

Why we’re hiring for this role:

As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our product leadership to drive greater alignment between our platform strategy and business growth objectives. With the recent transition in our product organization, we are seeking a Senior Director of Product to provide strong leadership, execute high-impact initiatives, and shape the next phase of our product development.

In the short term you will accomplish several key milestones:

  • Onboarding: Understand the company's development environment, tools, processes, and coding standards. Get to know your team members and their roles.
  • Understanding the Product: Familiarize yourself with the product or projects you'll be working on. Understand the user base, key features, and the overall goal of the product and needs of the business.
  • Organization Familiarization: Dive into the existing codebase. Understand the architecture, design patterns, and coding conventions used in the project.
  • Contribution to Ongoing Projects: Work on smaller tasks or bug fixes to get acquainted with the codebase and development workflow.

In the long term you will accomplish several key milestones:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with company objectives, focusing on revenue growth, customer value, and market leadership.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Product Directors and Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and high performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Sales to ensure alignment and drive the successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Revenue & Growth Focus: Develop product initiatives that directly contribute to revenue growth, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Drive a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and optimize product development processes to improve efficiency, prioritization, and execution speed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Product expertise, a strong understanding of product development, from discovery to delivery, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership and mentorship, you inspire and develop product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Customer-centric thinking, an advocate for the user, ensuring our platform delivers meaningful value and drives customer engagement.
  • Collaboration and influence, you build strong relationships across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and data teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Growth and revenue focus, an understanding of the commercial side of product management, developing initiatives that contribute to the company’s revenue and long-term success.
  • Bias for action, you navigate ambiguity, make informed decisions quickly, and keep teams moving forward without waiting for perfect information.

Required:

  • Extensive experience in product management and leadership.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative product strategies.
  • Experience in platform businesses, marketplaces, or SaaS models preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant training or certifications in product management, product development, (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, General Assembly, AIPMM Certified Product Manager, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Jira Software or other development management tools
  • Experience with Agile product development lifecycle from requirements gathering and documentation to delivery and ongoing support.
  • Experience with the Empowered Teams concept of Product Development
  • Background working in the Defense Industry highly preferred. 

Denver pay range: Base salary/pay per year, plus 20% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

$180,000 - $235,000 USD
