About the team:
As part of our Legal team, you will field questions related to contract review, legal compliance, data privacy, government regulations. .
About the role:
As a Senior Corporate Attorney at DHI, you will play an integral role, advising leadership and your colleagues on a broad range of business, legal, and compliance matters. You will routinely draft and review contracts, develop and update company policies, and ensure that DHI remains compliant with applicable laws and regulations. As a strategic partner to the business, you will be able to have a meaningful impact on the trajectory of the company.

As the company has grown, so has the necessary legal work, specifically, the need for government contract and subcontract review and negotiation, government contracting and subcontracting regulations, and the need for maintenance of policies related to government contracting and subcontracting.
Once hired, you will:
- Get to know the team, your colleagues, and the business, including the applicable laws and regulations that apply.
- Review and negotiate sales and business contracts.
- Provide counsel on a broad range of legal matters that impact the business.
As you progress in the role, you will:
- Draft and review sales and business contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and amendments.
- Provide legal guidance on compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including the Service Contract Act (SCA), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and government agency-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure ongoing compliance with government contracting and subcontracting requirements.

Required:
- Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to interact with and advise businesspeople and occasionally direct/manage outside counsel
- Demonstrated experience negotiating government staffing or services contracts and subcontracts
- Strong working knowledge of the Service Contract Act, FAR, and related regulatory frameworks
- Experience advising on wage determinations, employee classifications, and compliance obligations under government contracts is strongly preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently in an unstructured and fast-paced environment
- Required Education and/or Experience
- Candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and must be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Five years of experience in a wide range of legal matters, including government contracting and related regulations
Denver pay range: Base salary/pay per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
$180,000 - $225,000 USD
