Security Operation Engineer

We’re looking for a Security Operations Engineer who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Information Security team It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.

Joining our team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to be responsible for ensuring all security infrastructure and tools are implemented, maintained and appropriate reporting is enabled to facilitate security investigations. Your role is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness of our security controls and protecting our systems and data from potential threats.   

What you’ll be working on

  • Research, engineer, implement and improve security solutions including, but not limited to, integrated cloud email security (ICES), cloud access security broker (CASB), endpoint detection & response (EDR) and cloud security posture management (CSPM). 
  • Assist with security operations/infrastructure tools and projects, including those that are part of the ongoing Cyber Transformation Programme. 
  • Ensure encryption of sensitive data at rest and in transit, and manage the encryption keys 
  • Collaborate with other members of the technology and security teams to implement security best practices and procedures. 
  • Continuously monitor and assess our security posture and implement improvements. 
  • Assist Security Analysts with day-to-day monitoring and administration of the dunnhumby security solutions. 
  • Assist Security Analysts with investigating and resolving security incidents in line with dunnhumby’s incident management and response processes. 
  • Provide security advice and education to employees and project teams in conjunction with the Security Awareness Trainer. 
  • Maintain and employ a strong understanding of advanced threats, continuous monitoring, incident response and mitigation strategies used in cyber security operations. 

What we expect from you

  • 3 years of experience in security engineering 
  • Experience with integrated cloud email security (ICES) and cloud access security broker (CASB) and cloud security posture management (CSPM) 
  • Scripting experience for advanced tasks and automation  
  • SANS Top 20 Controls, NIST Framework
