We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Data Science Platform. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.

 

Joining our engineering team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to build, extend, and maintain the platforms that underpin all of our client engagements; from early data assessment and ETL to data analysis and visualisation. Having recently delivered an aligned data science platform for Data Engineers and Data Scientists, we’re currently working on refining access controls, bringing new science tooling to our users, and improving data connectivity with PowerBI and BigQuery.

 

Our work is varied, giving you the flexibility to move between products and technologies, so natural curiosity is essential. As a team we're friendly, will help you get up to speed, and offer you plenty of opportunities to innovate.

 

What we expect from you

 

Expected skills:

  • Python or Go
  • Kubernetes ecosystem
    • Kubernetes network & security policies
  • GCP or other cloud infrastructure providers
  • Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Git
  • CI/CD experience
  • Linux administration

Preferable skills:

  • Network security
  • Monitoring
  • Database administration

Bonus skills:

  • Spark
  • Airflow
  • Big Data ecosystem administration and tooling
  • FinOps
  • User support
