Physical Security Lead

We’re looking for a Physical Security Lead who is responsible for developing, implementing and managing comprehensive physical security strategies and programmes to protect the organisations assets, colleagues, travellers and operations globally. 

This role involves coordinating security efforts across all global locations, assessing and mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate security standards.  To collaborate with cross functional teams and respond to security incidents ensuring a safe and secure environment for the organisation

What we expect from you

  • 5+ years’ experience within a Physical Security / Risk / Travel Security / Loss Prevention type role within a global organisation.
  • Experience of physical security operations, risk assessments, travel risk – management and investigations, within a large organisation
  • Experience of completing investigations and / or holds relevant Industry qualifications (e.g.  CFE, APCIP, CFI, CPP, MSyl etc.).
  • Support the Global Health & Safety, Physical Security Manager with all day-to-day global activities including Office / Country Manager queries, security equipment queries and global incident management etc.
  • Define and implement physical security policies, standards and processes which support the overall physical security programme.
  • Complete annual Global H&S, Physical Security and Global Travel Policy reviews, and update where required. 
  • Undertake H&S and Physical Security annual audits, keeping accurate records, request stakeholder completion to support our continuous improvement objectives.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
  • Respond and manage security incidents conducting thorough investigations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Work in collaboration with legal and other business stakeholders to update and maintain the Safety Improvement Plan (SiP) and Risk Registers and other relevant materials.
  • Responsible for managing global incidents (People, Buildings or Asset related) requiring an immediate response, such as protests, political unrest, pandemics, riots etc.
  • Assist with travel related people safety / geopolitical intelligence incidents, and pre-travel risk assessments and emergencies.
  • Deliver a physical security training awareness programme to educate colleagues on security policies, procedures, best practices and their responsibility in protecting dunnhumby.
  • Lead and manage the Crisis Management Awareness Programme.
  • Oversee and manage the global stress and penetration testing activity to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Engage with key third parties such as the Tesco Group Security & Resilience Team (GSR), Audit Teams, Insurable Risk Teams, Travel Security / Safety vendors etc.
  • From a Business Continuity and Resilience perspective, assist and maintain relationships with the Tesco GSR Team, and other key stakeholders within dunnhumby, to ensure a swift and professional response, when business disruptions and / or crises are occurring.
  • Assess and review the recovery strategies of dunnhumby for compliance and appropriate risk treatment.
  • Work in partnership with internal clients such as Client Leads and Country Heads to effectively manage business risks.
  • Manage third party audits and risk assessments to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Provide physical security input and advice into client contract reviews and respond to queries, complete questionnaires and facilitate client audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and keep up to date with industry standards, trends and best practices.
