Global Insights Commercialisation Manager

London

dunnhumby is the global leader in Customer Data Science, empowering businesses everywhere to compete and thrive in the modern data-driven economy. We always put the Customer First.

Our mission: to enable businesses to grow and reimagine themselves by becoming advocates and champions for their Customers. With deep heritage and expertise in retail – one of the world’s most competitive markets, with a deluge of multi-dimensional data – dunnhumby today enables businesses all over the world, across industries, to be Customer First.

dunnhumby employs nearly 2,500 experts in offices throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas working for transformative, iconic brands such as Tesco, Coca-Cola, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Metro.

This is an opportunity to play a leading role in the launch and scale-up of a new business within dunnhumby.

We plan to build on our experience with consumer goods companies in the retail space to create a business that focuses on the Marketing Function of brand manufacturers.

Our mission will be to help brands accelerate demand growth by identifying new markets, developing and launching new products and activating more effectively against target consumers. This is the single biggest challenge that brand manufacturers face.

Our clients will be marketing leaders – CMOs, Global Category and Brand Leads, Heads of Innovation and Consumer Insight. We’ll focus on building scalable solutions that can be deployed across brands and geographies.

We plan to prove the viability of this new business by conducting pilots of our new approaches with major brand owners. We already have some exciting pilots underway and in development with leading consumer goods businesses. We’re also working with a range of external partners, from research start-ups with innovative approaches, through to Google and Microsoft.

The Global Insights Commercialisation Manager will play a critical role in setting up and delivering a successful pilot programme. This will involve working with a range functions across dunnhumby, plus external partners, to make the pilots happen. They will also be the face to the client throughout the pilot process and will be expected to think through how we ‘productise’ and scale the pilot solution. In addition, since we’re very much in start-up phase, the Global Insights Commercialisation Manager will be expected to influence our thinking on overall strategy – our proposition and use cases, who we target and how we got to market

· Play a leading role in defining the client proposition for each pilot and translate this into a ‘product brief’

· Act as a ‘cheerleader’ for the new business, building awareness and excitement among

· Take primary responsibility for the successful delivery of our CPG pilots. Work with dh functions, external partners and clients to develop robust plans and manage the delivery process

· Be the face to the client for pilot projects – define and deliver the project outcome to demonstrate value to the client

· Condense the pilot outcome to create the basis for a scalable product

· Manage the foundational compliance process to support the pilot programme, including partner on-boarding and data permissions

What We’ll Expect

· Energy, drive and flexibility to operate in a fast-changing start-up environment

· Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders – confidence to move fast without insisting on perfection

· Ability to build and maintain a productive network of contacts throughout dunnhumby to support pilots, coupled with the skills to resolve problems and get around barriers

· Credibility to be the primary interface with clients –managing ‘client success’ and also presenting the analytical outcome

· An interest in consumer goods and branding. Ideally some exposure to our media business and an understanding of how the media ecosystem works

· Strategic thinking – the ability to step back from pilot projects to think about how they contribute to our wider learning goals and propose reshaping if necessary.
