We’re looking for a Data Sourcing Strategy & Commercialisation Director, a commercial leader ensuring that data is leveraged as a strategic asset by assessing new data sources, shaping value-adding commercial use cases, and delivering impactful outcomes through data licenses and partnerships, aligned with dunnhumby’s strategic and commercial priorities. The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive data innovation and revenue growth.
Key accountabilities:
- Strategic Commercial Leadership, acting as the commercial lead for dunnhumby’s Data as a Strategic Asset initiative.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data partnerships contribute to long-term strategic goals and future-proof commercial opportunities.
- Manage the commercial elements of 3rd party relationships during the exploration, evaluation, and partnership formation phases, in conjunction with Corporate Development and Partnership Managers.
- Commercial Assessment & Revenue Potential, to define and execute the Go-to-Market strategy for new data partnerships, integrating insights from Tesco, Tesco Media, Walmart, and Global Markets commercial teams, developing robust business cases for third-party data providers, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and strategic priorities.
- Data Opportunity & Use-Case Development, sourcing client and product needs for new data, ensuring a prioritised list of opportunities and use cases is maintained.
- Lead the development of a use-case roadmap, aligning commercial and product teams on key data opportunities.
What we expect from you
- 10 years + leadership roles in Technology and Data Industry across Strategy, Commercial type roles
- Business degree BA or MBA
- Experience in Retail and Consumer Goods
- Global or International experience of running a business unit
- Broad understanding and experience of Data Analytics, Research, Panel and Whole Market Data Providers
