DH Pace Company, Inc. is hiring a results-oriented National Service Sales Development Manager who will be responsible for developing and leading DH Pace's national service sales training program for technicians and managers. In this role, you will build and deliver sales training that strengthens customer trust, equips technicians and managers to sell effectively and enables managers to support, coach, and lead their teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, own and continuously evolve DH Pace’s national service sales training program across service lines (Residential Service, EDS/ISS Service, CDS Service).
  • Travel to local offices to facilitate group training sessions for managers and technicians.
  • Design and deliver technician training covering:
    • Building strong customer trust across the full-service interaction; from the on-my-way notice, through arrival and initial contact, to wrap up.
    • Selling: teach when and how to sell on a residential or service call, how to present options, and how to communicate value, quality, and the right recommendation.
    • Professional development: teach technicians how to set goals and identify how to achieve them.
    • Translating value-and-quality selling into practical, repeatable language technicians can use with customers.
  • Design and deliver manager training (dispatch, service, department managers) covering:
    • Supporting technicians after formal training ends.
    • Selling: teach when and how to sell over the phone, how to present options, and how to communicate value, quality, and the right recommendation.
    • Problem resolution: how to de-escalate and resolve customer problems and strengthen the customer relationship.
    • Teaching managers how to set an agenda and run sales meetings that inform, engage, and inspire technicians.
  • Working with the DH Pace Training Department, develop and maintain the full training curriculum, including materials, presentations, workbooks, role-play exercises, and reinforcement tools.
  • Partner with branch and area leadership to schedule training sessions, assess technician sales skill levels, and identify branch-specific needs.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness using well defined metrics.
  • Maintain a consistent training message and sales approach across all locations while adapting delivery to local market and product differences.
  • Develop and deliver train-the trainer sessions to equip designated managers/leaders to reinforce and extend the training between formal visits.
  • Build the training program into new technician onboarding.
  • Continuously refine the curriculum based on field results, technician feedback, and evolving product/service offerings.
  • Serve as an ongoing resource to managers on reinforcing value/quality sales behaviors after training sessions conclude.
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or sales training, with demonstrated success in a residential, in-home, or direct-to-consumer environment (i.e., HVAC, roofing, home services, security, door, or similar).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience designing and facilitating group sales training programs.  Formal sales trainer or curriculum development experience required.
  • Proven ability to build a training program from scratch, including materials, curriculum structure, and facilitation approach.
  • Strong group facilitation, presentation and public speaking skills; comfortable leading a room of technicians with varying experience levels and personalities.
  • Ability to translate value/quality selling concepts into practical, repeatable language technicians can use with residential customers.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with technicians who may not see themselves as ‘salespeople.’
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to branch locations, including overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Nice to Have's

  • Experience in sales training to field personnel (i.e. building sales skill into a technical/service role rather than a dedicated sales role).
