Your role as Mental Health Specialist Dispatch
Dialogue is looking for a Mental Health Dispatch to take part in our mission to help people improve their wellbeing. Working closely with Annabel Tremblay, Interim Manager, Mental Health Specialists, your role will be to act as a clinical first point of contact for patients who request access to our mental health services to ensure that they are connected with the right professional based on their needs. Through an empathetic and compassionate approach, they will conduct brief video or phone consultations to quickly assess a patient's mental health history and communicate to patients what the next step in their healthcare journey will be. What you’ll be doing:
- Screening the mental health needs and requests of our members on the platform
- Providing information about Dialogue's team of mental health professionals and communicating the triage decisions
- Setting expectations for our members' care journeys and creating a delightful intake experience
- Working with a multidisciplinary team to iterate and improve the triage experience through the development of new resources and processes
- Documenting triage notes, impressions and outcomes on the electronic medical record database
- Participating in team meetings
- You will be responsible for patient safety in your member-facing role
What positions are available within the Mental Health Specialist team:
- Primary Care: focusing on evaluation, risk assessment , crisis intervention, strengths/resources activation and resource orientation within a single-session framework
- Stress Management & Well Being: focusing on mental health intervention, risk assessment, crisis intervention, coaching, strengths/resources activation with a short-term motivational approach
We’d love to hear from you, if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of mental health or social services (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, etc.)
- You are passionate about mental health, quality of care and delighting clients
- Ability to listen and remain calm and empathetic while working with individuals experiencing stressful and difficult situations
- Full-time (32+ hours) or part-time (minimum 8 hours) availability (evenings and weekends)
- Desire to work in an environment that encourages autonomy, professionalism and versatility
- Experience working with a multidisciplinary team is an asset
Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
