Staff Software Developer, Mobile
Your role as Staff Software Developer, Mobile
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the mission of the Staff Software Developer, Mobile is to empower Dialogue buyers to provide better health outcomes and achieve a stronger bottom line by creating best-in-class tools to supervise a delightful Integrated Health experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the development of new features for our mobile apps, ensuring a seamless and high-quality user experience.
- Having a big impact on the business by driving key mobile initiatives from conception to launch.
- Acting as the primary subject matter expert for mobile development, guiding the technical direction and best practices for the team.
- Steering the mobile development process by identifying opportunities to improve our architecture and implementing more efficient processes for mobile development.
- Define plans to manage and reduce technical debt and contribute to its implementation.
- Participating in and contributing to all agile ceremonies, team meetings, and broader technology department activities.
- Collaborating with the wider development community to stay current with industry trends and implement them in our context.
- Working with an application used by millions of Canadians, directly influencing and improving their health and well-being.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in mobile development with an excellent understanding of mobile best practices.
- Prior experience working with React Native and the Expo frameworks.
- Experience in building and maintaining applications for both iOS and Android.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- The ability to act as a subject matter expert and influence the direction of a product or team.
- The capacity to work independently and drive initiatives without direct mentorship.
- An interest or experience in working on back-end development is a plus.
