AI Voice Experience Designer

Austin, US

About Dialpad
Dialpad is the AI platform for customer experience, built to resolve customer problems in real time across voice and digital. Our AI agents learn from your best human agents and improve with every interaction, helping organizations understand their customers, deliver better experiences, increase operational efficiencies, and build a lasting competitive advantage.

Unlike legacy systems built to route and answer, or standalone agentic bot vendors built to deflect, Dialpad was built to resolve. Our AI agents and human agents operate on a single platform with shared context, allowing Agentic AI to resolve issues, advance deals, and eliminate busywork through automation while seamlessly handing conversations to humans when needed, with full context preserved.

Market-leading brands, including Randstad, Motorola Solutions, Netflix, the San Diego Padres, the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, and Cal Athletics, trust Dialpad. Dialpad is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, GV, ICONIQ Capital, and T-Mobile.

Being a Dialer
At Dialpad, AI isn’t just a feature; it’s how our teams do their best work every day. We put powerful AI tools in every employee’s hands so they can move faster, think bigger, and achieve more.

We believe every conversation matters. And we’ve built the platform that turns those conversations into insight and action, for our customers and ourselves.

We look for people who are intensely curious and hold themselves to a high bar. Our ambition is significant, and achieving it requires a team that operates at the highest level. We seek individuals who embody our core traits: Scrappy, Curious, Optimistic, Persistent, and Empathetic.

Your role
As an AI Voice Experience Designer, you'll embed with our most strategic Agentic AI Early Access customers to help bring their AI agents into production. You'll own the end-to-end customer experience—shaping how an AI agent sounds, behaves, and performs until it consistently resolves real customer conversations.

You'll work closely with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and our Agent Experience Design team to tune agent behavior, refine voice and personality, improve conversational fluency, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Beyond individual customer deployments, you'll help identify patterns that improve the product for every future customer.

This position reports to our Professional Services organization and is a remote, customer-facing role requiring travel as needed.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end AI agent experience for assigned Early Access Program (EAP) customers, from implementation through production readiness.
  • Partner directly with customers to understand their business, workflows, and success criteria, translating those needs into agent behavior.
  • Configure and tune AI agents by selecting voices, refining personas, optimizing prompts, and improving conversational performance.
  • Continuously improve agent fluency through pronunciation tuning, text normalization, domain-specific language optimization, and conversational refinement.
  • Drive customer deployments to defined quality standards, including consistency, fluency, latency (CFL), resolution rates, and containment targets.
  • Analyze live conversations, identify opportunities for improvement, and rapidly iterate agent behavior based on customer feedback and production performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Agent Experience Design teams to surface learnings that improve the platform for all customers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey, ensuring customers are confident deploying AI agents into production.

Skills you'll bring

  • Experience leading customer-facing implementations, deployments, or solution delivery for complex technical products.
  • Strong understanding of conversational AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI agent behavior.
  • Experience working with text-to-speech (TTS), conversational design, voice interfaces, or natural language processing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft natural, consistent AI personalities and conversational experiences.
  • Strong customer consulting and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and build trust with executive stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using metrics and customer feedback to improve product outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, early-stage environments where rapid iteration and experimentation are expected.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Experience supporting customers in regulated or high-complexity industries such as healthcare, financial services, or legal is a plus.

Why Join Dialpad

  • Work at the center of the AI transformation in business communications
  • Build and ship agentic AI products that are redefining how companies operate

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
