Description
We are looking for a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner passionate about all aspects of women’s health to provide holistic patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary care team, including MDs, CNMs and LCSWs. You will utilize expert assessment skills, therapeutic relationship building, specialty medication knowledge, and current best practices to help patients within a model of care focused on prevention and overall wellness.
What you’ll do
- Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to gather information needed to determine treatment and care needs
- Prescribe psychotropic and other medication dosages, routes, and frequencies based on patients' diagnoses and conditions and in accordance with accepted protocols and regulatory authorities
- Reconcile current medications and determine which orders to continue, modify, or stop
- Monitor health status, efficacy of care, safety issues, and response to treatments to ensure patients' progress
- Review patient history from medical records including lab results, prior medications, past medical and family history, and prior hospitalizations
- Refer patients to psychotherapy services and collaborate with providers as needed
- Provide patient education and resources related to diagnosis and medications
- Complete comprehensive clinical documentation within EMR system
Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited nursing program
- Unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Must have prescriptive authorization and DEA license
- Broad clinical experience required. Women’s health and perinatal experience preferred
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary care team is preferred
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
As the Behavioral Health Practice Lead, you will:
- Lead your Behavioral Health team:
- Provide clinical expertise and leadership for the team
- Support new hire orientation and ongoing training of the Behavioral Health team to ensure they are to Diana Health’s standard of care
- Ensure the team of Behavioral Health providers perform within their scope of practice and duties and ensure accountability for the team at all levels
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and assume responsibility for promoting the growth and development of the practice’s Behavioral Health team as a collective and as individual Behavioral Health providers, which includes being available after hours (as needed) as a resource for troubleshooting obstacles as they arise, as well as providing empathic listening and clinical support as needed.
- Collaborate with department heads to interview, evaluate, and hire qualified Behavioral Health providers who are aligned with Diana Health’s organizational goals and patient care standards.
- Assist Behavioral Health providers in precepting role
- Serve on the Behavioral Health leadership team, in partnership with the Medical Director, VP of Clinical Programs, and the Practice Manager
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with OB/GYN providers, developing a collaborative practice pattern that ensures seamless communication and hand-offs between the specialties
HR/Management:
- Exemplify Diana Health’s culture of caring for others and fostering continuous learning and improvement – and ensure this culture thrives within the practice; nurture interprofessional relations
- Conduct, in partnership with the VP of Clinical Programs, regular performance reviews
- Support practice level retention efforts
- Partner with other provider Leads to drive systematic communication, foster culture, and oversee process improvements as well as quality initiatives
Operations:
- Partner with the Practice Manager on the creation and management of the Behavioral Health schedule; troubleshoot staffing challenges as they arise
- Review practice’s operational dashboard to assess performance and identify improvement and growth opportunities; share with Diana Health leaders
- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement and/or training gaps through your direct experience in the day-to-day operations; share and collaborate on solution creation with Diana Health leaders
- Participate in loss recovery initiatives and clinical case reviews
- Partner with the rest of the leadership team and product team on supporting CQI and program improvement initiatives, including workflow development, clinical playbooks, training and roll-out of new initiatives
- Support growth of the program through program development, marketing, community building, and outreach, through initiatives such as:
- Deep dives into areas for growth
- Attending select community events
- Attending select meetings with local referring providers and community partners
- Supporting marketing content
Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited nursing program
- Unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
- 3+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP, with leadership/mentorship experience preferred
- Broad clinical experience required. Women’s health and perinatal experience preferred
- Must have prescriptive authorization and DEA license
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary care team is preferred
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
