About the Role

As the Associate Director, R&D Project Manager, you will work closely with our discovery and Bioanalytical teams to ensure deliverables and oversee interdisciplinary components for our pipeline.

Reporting to our CSO, you will partner with internal and external team members to ensure timelines and deliverables. Day to day, you will be responsible for staying up to date on critical components, lab resources, and timelines which may impact over all development. You must have an understanding of scientific development within a lab setting. For example, experience as a research or bench scientist combined with project management. Experience specifically with antibodies is ideal, however not required. We are looking for a teammate who wants to grow as our organization and pipeline continues to develop.  

We have offices in both Waltham, MA and New York City, NY in addition to full-time remote employees based across the United States. We are open to this person working remotely, however the ability to commute to the Waltham office in a hybrid capacity is ideal to better support the our research team, office and lab space. We are building a culture of individuals who hold our core principles at the center of our operations, with the goal to elevate the care of our patients’ lives. Key Responsibilities

  • Key strategic partner to the Discovery Project leads, managing the drug discovery & early development processes.
  • Partner with the Discovery and preclinical teams in order to maximize the Discovery Portfolio of assets, establishing clear stage gating criteria, processes and efficient decision making
  • Partner in conducting program level scenario planning and risk analysis. Drive the development of contingency and risk mitigation plans.
  • Prepare clear, sufficiently detailed minutes of Project Team meetings and discovery portfolio reviews.
  • Prepare methodical tracking of all action items
  • Keep abreast of changes and ensure constant communication with Discovery Leadership, Project Leaders and all Project Team members, so that all parties are aware of project activity, issues, and contingencies.
  • Support Discovery Alliance Management and Vendor Management, contribute to the review and execution of contracts. Ensure efficient and comprehensive communication between external vendors and internal team. 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific (or related technical) field required
  • Scientific experience and / or understanding of needs within a research / Discovery team setting to effectively source, manage, and understand needs
  • Uses teamwork to work cooperatively toward the most effective solutions, championing the best ideas of team members, and assisting where help is needed yet is capable of highly independent work when efficiency is required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, identify and resolve issues
  • Strong Project Management and communication skills
