Commercialization Manager

New York City, NY

COMMERCIALIZATION MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE:

At DIG, culinary excellence is the foundation of everything we do. As our Commercialization Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting culinary innovation and bringing new menu items to market that are built for quality, consistency, and scale.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone with strong culinary instincts, operational know-how, and a passion for process improvement. You’ll partner with the Director of Business Strategy and the Culinary Director to execute product development briefs, working closely with chefs to finalize recipes and with suppliers to commercialize ingredients. You’ll also coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Training to ensure flawless execution in every kitchen.

YOU WILL:

  • Support the Culinary team in bringing product briefs to life—from early concepting through final recipe validation.
  • Work with the Director of Business Strategy to analyze & determine the best path forward on menu changes.
  • Test and refine recipes to ensure they meet brand standards for flavor, consistency, and operational feasibility.
  • Partner with suppliers and the supply chain team to commercialize ingredients and products that meet quality and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Training to ensure successful execution across the fleet, including the development of SOPs, tools, and rollout plans.
  • Participate in kitchen tests & tastings, gather feedback, and iterate quickly to optimize for taste, efficiency, and cost.
  • Assist with ingredient and equipment testing to support innovation and kitchen workflow improvements.
  • Manage timelines, track progress, and drive cross-functional follow-ups to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Contribute to the innovation pipeline by staying informed on culinary trends & competitive menus.

YOU ARE:

  • Commercially minded. You know how to translate great culinary ideas into scalable, profitable menu items, balancing creativity with operational execution.
  • Collaborative. You work seamlessly across departments—from chefs to supply chain to training—and know how to bring stakeholders together.
  • Process- and detail-oriented. You thrive on structure, manage complex timelines with ease, and bring a data-informed mindset to every project.
  • Efficient and accountable. You take ownership of deliverables, keep things moving, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Hands-on. You’re just as comfortable in the test kitchen as you are reviewing spreadsheets or managing project trackers.

YOU HAVE:

  • 3–5 years of experience in culinary innovation, product development, or commercialization, ideally in a multi-unit restaurant or foodservice environment.
  • Experience working with chefs to develop and scale recipes that are both creative and operationally sound.
  • A solid grasp of food costs, menu profitability, and how to make a menu item both exciting and financially viable.
  • Strong project management skills and a proven ability to keep multiple initiatives on track.
  • A data-driven mindset and the ability to analyze results to guide decisions and refine processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally to bring ideas to life.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
