Campus Ambassador: Harvard University

Boston, MA

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Dig Inn is looking for energetic, food-obsessed Harvard University students to represent our brand on campus this fall. As a Campus Ambassador, you'll drive real sales results; whether that's getting classmates through the door or landing catering contracts with student orgs and university offices. This isn't a passive brand rep role. You'll run events, hit goals, and earn money for it.

At Dig Inn, we believe great food has the power to bring people together, and there's no better place to build community than on a college campus. As a Campus Ambassador, you'll play a key role in growing the Dig Inn brand within your campus community by building relationships, driving awareness, and generating real business results. From introducing peers to Dig Inn for the first time, to partnering with student organizations and university departments on catering opportunities, you'll help bring our brand to life in creative and impactful ways. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking initiative, connecting with people, and making things happen! You'll work closely with our Marketing team to execute campus activations, achieve sales goals, and create memorable experiences that inspire others to become loyal Dig Inn guests.

The program runs 13 weeks (August 26 - November 18, 2026) across five campuses. Each campus will have two ambassadors: one focused on main menu growth, one focused on catering growth.

YOU WILL:

Track 1: Main Menu Ambassador

  • Drive foot traffic and new visits to your nearest Dig Inn location
  • Run 4-6 small events per semester: pop-up tabling, promo code distribution, dorm takeovers
  • Post 2 Instagram stories or TikToks per month showcasing Dig Inn on campus
  • Track and report promo code distribution counts and redemption rates
  • Identify and map high-traffic campus zones to target in each program phase

Track 2: Catering Ambassador

  • Grow Dig Inn catering on campus by sponsoring and executing student org events
  • Attend 2-3 org meetings per semester to build relationships and distribute promo codes
  • Sponsor 2 catering events per semester ($1,000 total catering value)
  • Build and deliver a qualified catering lead sheet by end of semester (minimum 3-5 leads per ambassador, 10-25 total across all campuses)
  • Conduct targeted outreach to university admin offices in Phase 3

Both Tracks:

  • Submit phase recap reports at the end of each program arc
  • Participate in bi-weekly check-ins with the Dig Inn growth team
  • Maintain a content log with screenshots and story views for all social posts

THE 13-WEEK ARC:

Phase 1: Awareness (Aug 26 - Sep 16)

  • Map your campus, identify high-traffic zones, distribute promo codes, and start building dorm and common area presence. Deliver a campus zone map and first content report by Sep 16.

Phase 2: Infiltration (Sep 23 - Oct 21)

  • Go deeper into the zones and orgs that are converting. Re-engage highest-performing dorm buildings, attend org meetings, and sponsor your first event. Deliver updated redemption data and an org contact list.

Phase 3: Conversion (Oct 28 - Nov 18)

  • Close the semester strong. Deliver final redemption reports with revenue attribution (Main Menu) or a full qualified catering lead sheet (Catering).

YOU HAVE:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate at one of the following university: Harvard (Cambridge, MA)
  • Genuine enthusiasm for food, community, and getting people together
  • Comfort approaching strangers, running events, and representing a brand in person
  • Comfort on Instagram and/or TikTok; you don't need a following, just a camera comfort
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and report on your own results
  • A never-say-die attitude when it comes to finding the right person or landing the right event
  • Catering track: interest in sales, business development, or event planning is a plus
  • Availability to onboard starting August 12 and commit through November 18

COMPENSATION:

The program is structured in three paid phases, each worth $500 upon completion, paid as a combination of cash and in-kind Dig Inn credit:

  • Phase 1 Completion (by Sep 16): $500
  • Phase 2 Completion (by Oct 21): $500
  • Phase 3 Completion (by Nov 18): $500
  • Total Base: $1,500

Plus performance bonuses for both tracks. Bonus structure shared at offer.

HIRING TIMELINE:

  • Early July: Applications open
  • Mid July: Interviews
  • Early August: Offers sent and contracts signed
  • Mid August: Onboarding and program preparation
  • August 26: Program launches
