Security Systems Installation Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician to join our operations in the Oklahoma City, OK area. This person will be responsible for performing skilled security system installations and assisting others with access control and CCTV installation. Please note, our work is throughout the Western Oklahoma region, and technicians will be expected to commute in a personal vehicle to and from jobsites at times. Additionally, Digi occasionally does travel throughout the OK region, and overnight travel may be required up to 25% of the time. This individual must have at least 2 years of direct experience in installing and servicing low voltage devices, and preference will be given to candidates with multiple years of direct experience in the installation of Access Control, CCTV, and/or Burglar Alarms in a commercial setting.

Digi's hourly rates are structured based on skill set and experience. Rates are negotiable dependent on candidate experience - 

Cabling Technicians (some commercial cabling knowledge): $20-22/hour

Experienced Technicians (cabling and CCTV knowledge): $22-24/hour

Lead Technicians (cabling, CCTV, Access Control knowledge): $25-28/hour

Main Responsibilities

  • Installation: Responsible for the professional installation of cabling, access control components, CCTV systems, and motion/intrusion/alarm systems. Lead by example by upholding the highest installation standards in the industry.
  • Hand Tools and Inventory: Safely operate various hand tools, work at heights on ladders and lifts, keep accurate truck inventory, and maintain safety standards on-site and off.
  • Documentation: Perform computer program entry as required and prepare documentation for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information.
  • Communication: Respectfully communicates with all coworkers and Project Lead on daily progress and documents all necessary information.
  • Work Planning: Responsible for reading and understanding technical drawings, assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work.
  • Customer Service: Consistently communicate with the Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and Project Lead to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and complete overhead work for long periods of time.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of which you are applying and have the ability to meet our company driving standards.
