Position Overview

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Generalist to join our People Operations team in Dallas! As HR Generalist, you'll join the People Operations department, which owns all aspects of the Digi's people functions - including hiring, new hire management, employee engagement and work experience, leadership development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR operations. The areas of focus of the HR Generalist will be to assist with hiring and onboarding top talent for the Dallas region, plan and produce company events, and engage in employee relations and culture building activities. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the low-voltage security or other trade industries.

This is an in-person role with daily commute required to Digi's office in Richardson, TX, and has a budgeted salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 /year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Hiring: Attend hiring events, recruit prospective candidates, evaluate and interview applicants for various Digi positions. Draft job descriptions for roles and manage various job listings. 
  • Onboarding: Onboard new employees to Digi's culture, assist with benefits enrollment, and support staff through their New Hire training period.
  • Employee Relations: Engage with employees on various performance related and employee development matters, and assist the Vice President of People Operations with change management, leadership development, and employee relations consultations.
  • Culture Creation: Plan and host company events, provide support to staff and be a champion of Digi's culture, where People are Our Purpose
  • HR Operations: Complete necessary documentation for various areas such as regulations, licensing, safety, and industry standards.

Key Skills:

  • 1+ years of work experience in Human Resources related area preferred. 
  • Pre-requisite education that aligns with the skills of HR Generalist (such as an HR or business-related collegiate degree, SHRM-CP/SCP, SPHR or PHR certifications).
  • Preference for prior experience working with construction, trade, or project-based company with 150-500 employees.
  • Preference for experience working with monday.com, Canva, Inova and ADP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong task prioritization and  time management skills
  • Enthusiasm and excitement for a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for growth.
