About the role:
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for owning and resolving client incident and request cases, throughout the entire lifecycle of each case. It includes documenting and advising our clients on how to best install, configure, deploy, connect and use DA products and maintain utmost uptime for DA’s online services. The primary objective is to provide DA clients with a great experience when using/learning our products.
Responsibilities:
- Performs security reviews of the Canton architecture, implementation, and protocol design
- Performs pentests against Canton APIs and deployments
- Mitigates known threats as well as guide engineers in finding and resolving security issues
- Conduct security and threat modeling by documenting security requirements, trust models, threat analyses, and mitigations
- Defines and implements security testing such as fuzzing, security regression tests, and/or model-based testing
- Collaborates on security topics with other teams working on Daml and the Canton Network
- Plans and shepherds external security audits
- Raises awareness and educates engineers on security topics
What We're Looking For:
- Experienced security researcher or information security engineer as demonstrated by analysing complex production systems or open-source software
- Knowledge and experience with distributed systems, blockchains, security protocols, and/or cryptography
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience writing technical documentation and educating other engineers
- Software engineering experience with developing and deploying production systems
- Collaborative approach to working on security topics across teams and with different stakeholders
- Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
