We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Associate to join our dynamic and growing Investment Operations team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute across a diverse portfolio spanning cryptocurrency, venture capital, public markets, and funds. As a key player in our operations, you will drive critical processes, enhance workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the seamless execution of investments and trades.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in financial services operations, with a passion for crypto markets, venture investing, and emerging technologies. You will be instrumental in building scalable solutions that support the firm's growth while maintaining rigorous attention to detail and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Investment & Trade Operations

  • Oversee daily custody and trade support for cryptocurrency, public market instruments, and venture investments, ensuring accurate trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Execute and manage high-value crypto and fiat transactions, conducting thorough due diligence for transfers exceeding $1 million USD.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of trading platforms, fund managers, and counterparties, ensuring seamless integration into operational workflows and pre/post-trade compliance.
  • Develop and document scalable workflows and operational controls to support the expansion of the firm's investment activities across asset classes.

Venture & Fund Operations

  • Monitor and maintain venture capital and fund investments in the firm’s portfolio management system, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and updates.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to manage capital calls, LP distributions, and payments related to new investments, portfolio company exits, and fund allocations.
  • Conduct portfolio performance modeling and attribution analysis, providing insights for both internal strategy and external reporting.
  • Engage with portfolio companies to collect KPIs, investor updates, and liquidity event details, supporting the firm’s active role in venture growth.
  • Assist in building operational solutions to manage the increasing volume and complexity of early-stage venture investments.

Risk, Compliance & Cross-Asset Oversight

  • Partner with compliance and legal teams to implement and maintain due diligence processes for crypto and venture investments.
  • Monitor and escalate operational risks across the portfolio, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide operational support for audit inquiries, compiling data on historical transactions, fund flows, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Investments, Trading, Platform, Legal, and Security to ensure smooth operational processes.

General & Strategic Contributions

  • Tackle ad-hoc operational challenges with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, delivering timely and effective solutions.
  • Assist in the design and deployment of innovative operational tools to streamline investment workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that drive strategic growth, leveraging new technologies and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in asset management operations, investment operations, middle office operations, or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with cryptocurrency operations and blockchain technologies is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record with trade settlements and high-value payments (> $1 million USD).
  • Technical proficiency (coding, programming, or database management) and/or experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus but not required.

Location: Stamford, CT with remote or hybrid options considered.
