What is the Role:
We are seeking a Crypto Investment Analyst with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the crypto space to join DCG’s Stamford, CT based Crypto Token Investing Team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital assets ecosystem, tokenomics, and crypto valuation models. You will be responsible for analyzing emerging projects, conducting in-depth research, and using data-driven insights to guide investment decisions. Your role will require an on-chain sleuth mindset, with the ability to dive deep into blockchain data, identify trends, and build meaningful visualizations through tools like Dune Analytics.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Analyze private and liquid projects
- Conduct in-depth technical and economic research on specific tokens and crypto ecosystems (ie DeFi, L1s, L2s, deAI)
- Assess tokenomics and the potential value accrual of various tokens and assets, applying relevant valuation models
- Build, manage, and maintain Dune Analytics dashboards to track on-chain metrics and market trends
- Monitor and analyze the performance of crypto assets, identifying opportunities and risks
- Create detailed investment reports and presentations, showcasing findings, recommendations, and market insights
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, innovations, and regulatory changes within the cryptocurrency and blockchain space
- Collaborate with the broader investment team to develop and refine data-driven investment strategies
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience post-college
- Strong understanding of the digital assets ecosystem through prior experience as an investor or as a startup operator
- Solid understanding of blockchain technology and smart contracts
- Proficiency in analyzing and navigating the L1, DeFi, and deAI ecosystems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- On-chain sleuth mindset, with the ability to dive deep into blockchain data, identify trends, and build meaningful visualizations through tools like Dune Analytics
- Understanding of token value accrual and its importance in token valuation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Python, SQL)
- Experience in financial modeling or quantitative analysis within the crypto or traditional finance sectors
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
